A fantastic day for our Year 10s! 🌟

Following yesterday’s launch of our exciting new partnership with the Dame Robina Shah Foundation’s Futuremakers programme, today we welcomed some amazing visitors for our main assembly, as the programme begins to take shape for our Year 10 pupils.

The highlight of the morning was hearing each of our guests share their individual stories and words of wisdom, inspiring pupils to think about their own journeys and the futures they want to create.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped inspire our students to think big about their futures.

After the assembly, Aaron Saxton and the team hosted a ‘drop-in’ session for pupils keen to apply for the programme — and the library was absolutely full to the brim with enthusiastic pupils eager to get involved.

We’re so grateful to the Dame Robina Shah Foundation for bringing such valuable opportunities to our pupils. Exciting things ahead!

✨ Celebrating 10 Years of Dean Trust Ardwick ✨
In 2018–19, we expanded our school building to meet growing demand 🏗️🙌.
Approval was granted for an extension, adding 15 new teaching spaces – a milestone that allowed us to welcome even more pupils into our community. 💫

Our Year 9 pupils had a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in the Spanish language with Kidslingo! From passing through passport control, to visiting the market and buying las frutas y verduras, our pupils got the chance to practice their conversational Spanish and develop their cultural knowledge ¡Qué fantástico!

Our GCSE & Post-16 Evening gave pupils a fantastic chance to explore life after Year 11—meeting colleges, sixth forms & apprenticeship providers to plan their next steps. 💡✨

Back in 2017-18, we received our very first Ofsted inspection – and we were rated ‘Good’ with ‘Outstanding’ leadership and management’ 🎉👏.
A milestone moment that recognised our strong community vision and set the tone for the years ahead.

Our journey began in 2015, opening early to meet the demand for school places in the community. With just 120 pupils and 6 teachers in a temporary building, we laid the foundations of what would become the thriving school we know today. 🏫💫

This was the start of something special 💛

At Dean Trust Ardwick, we are proud of the excellent provision we have for our international new arrivals.

Through specialist lessons, a structured induction, strong pastoral care and the celebration of every culture, we ensure that every pupil feels welcome, included and ready to thrive.

This commitment is recognised through our Belonging Matters Charter Mark, which celebrates schools where every child feels valued and able to succeed.
