FairStage Academy - Dance & Theatre Arts

Today we held a memorial for Miss Rach. A kind and loving teacher, who was the heart and soul of FairStage. She stunned us all with her amazing costumes, hugged us all when we were feeling sad, made us all laugh with her witty humor!

Today memories were shared some with laughter, some with tears and with hugs !

Thank you to the students and parents that came and for those who commented on the previous status. Miss Rachel would be so proud of you! Keep shining like the stars you are!

RIP Miss Rachel (Mr Evans mother),
Who sadly passed away on the 5th of May 2025.

Miss Rachel was such a special part of FairStage Academy! She was loved by all students who she met! And she loved them all dearly.

She is/was an amazing lady whose passion, dedication and love was second to none! Her devotion to her children to be the best they can be lead to Mr Evan to start FairStage with her and mr Ryan back in 2013

She was a beautiful kind person who was well loved by everyone, she was a loving Mother who would do anything for her children, and also a wonderful Teacher to her dance students too… (she will be forever remembered for her stunning costumes, her humour, her wonderful ideas, her kindness, and of course those diva moments which we all loved, which made her the legend she was)!

Miss Rachel was the heart and soul of ‘FairStage Academy’, she would be there at every single show sewing costumes for her beloved students, she loved each and every one of her students dearly, and spent countless hours supporting us in all ways someone could support…

On one occasion, Miss Rachel managed to somehow find it within her strength to do all of the costumes for a show, with a broken neck after just getting out of hospital, this shows what a wonderful person she was, she was the sort of person who put everyone else before herself!

She was a great giver of hugs when staff and students struggled, she made us all laugh with her incredibly sharp tongue and she was never afraid of giving Mr Evan or Mr Ryan the look of disapproval when she didn’t agree with decisions they made!

She was a very special woman who we were lucky to have, she will be missed dearly!
She taught Mr Evan his first dance step when he was a child, she gave him his confidence to pursue his dream as a dancer, and he did achieve it! Thanks to her dedication and determination!

Mr Evan is proud to carry on his Mums legacy as a dance teacher and parent… he hopes to be as great as she was! He hopes to make her the proudest she can be!

We may have lost her, but the angels have gained another angel. Keep dancing Miss Rach! We love you!

We will be holding a little memorial for miss Rachel at Mr Evans and Mr Ryan new studio in Bury on Sunday 1st of June at 2:30pm for any students or ex FairStage staff to share memories and to say goodbye.

Oh my days……it’s been a while! Sorry we have been very quiet. We have been busy!! Although it was sad for us to close our doors FairStage Academy - Dance & Theatre Arts and to say goodbye to our beloved school. Well….. as one door closes another one opens! We are back but this time as Triumph Theatre School is our new name! We have just signed a lease (today) for our new building in Bury town centre! A stones throw away from Bury interchange!

Today we said goodbye to our beloved studio space in Middleton! So many memories, so much amazing creative work was made In This amazing space.

⚠️Urgent Announcement ⚠️

We regret to inform you that FairStage Academy will be closing its doors with immediate effect. This decision comes as a result of various factors which have made it increasingly challenging for us to continue our operations.
One of the key issues we have been facing is financial pressure. A significant number of parents have not been paying their bills, which has placed a heavy burden on the sustainability of our business. We have tried our best to work with parents to find solutions, but unfortunately, the situation has not improved.
It has come to the point now, where Evan and I have had to finance Fairstage Academy out of our own personal pockets, without a wage of our own, just so we can pay staff members who have been relying on their wages. This is all because people haven’t payed for classes which they have taken their children to. We are paying out more than what we’re getting in!

Furthermore, we have experienced a concerning attitude from some parents towards myself and Evan, which has created a negative environment for our staff. We believe that the lack of respect towards our dedicated team is detrimental to the nurturing and supportive atmosphere we strive to provide.
We are deeply upset about this, we have tried to create something magic for the children, tried to make a difference, we have gone above and beyond for everyone!

Additionally, our own personal priorities have shifted, and we have reached a point where we need to reassess our professional endeavors and focus on other aspects of our lives.
Both myself and Evan have a family of our own who we need to put food on the table for as-well. We both have children who we need to focus on who shouldn’t be without, which I’m sure you can all understand as parents.

We understand that this may come as a disappointment and inconvenience to you and your child. It is with a heavy heart that we have made this decision, but we believe it is in the best interest of all parties involved.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and want to express our gratitude for everyone out there who has supported us, thank you to all who have been wonderful costumers for years.

Please cancel any direct debits you have with us. If you don’t manage to cancel in time or if you have already paid you will receive a full refund.

We are currently in the process of moving out of the studio so replies will be slow. Refunds will be processed towards the end of next week.

We have cherished the opportunity to teach and guide your child in the world of performing arts. The good memories will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We will be planning a good bye party within a few weeks to enable students to day good bye to their teachers. We will have more information on this in due course.
