We have transformed our reception area into a pumpkin patch. Our children will be able to access this area to read some books, talk about what happens during Autumn and experience role playing at a Pumpkin Patch🎃🍁🍂

My Calm Space✨

We are in the process of enhancing our areas throughout the nursery. In Purple Room we have created a calm space for our children.

Calm corners allow children to be aware of their own emotions. Children learn how to identify their emotions so they can better regulate them. Calm corners provide a safe space for children to process these emotions.

Children process a vast amount of sensory information daily. For some, this can be overwhelming, leading to sensory overload and emotional outbursts. Calming areas also provide a sensory friendly area that helps to regain emotional balance✨

Playdough pizza 🍕🍕🍕

The aim of this activity was to role play working in a pizza shop. The children were very creative with their pizza's, they made different shapes and sizes. During this activity we spoke about the ingredients used to make real pizza's and the different toppings we can put on them. The children also practiced developing their physical development by using children's scissors to cut the herbs and peppers. 🍕🍕🍕🍕

Superkids Campsite 🏕

To celebrate bonfire night our theme for the day was ‘Camping’. The children went on a camping trip to ‘Superkids Campsite’. During our camping trip we toasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate and sang songs around our campfire.
Each room took part in age appropriate activities 💥💥💥🎇🎆

Mud Kitchens are more than just the chance to explore mud, get messy and have fun. They also provide a whole variety of different learning opportunities including sensory, imaginative, creative and exploratory play. •Recreates everyday home scenes in play giving common element to help them connect with others
