The nursery opened in March 2013 and has four dedicated play rooms, Babies, Tweenies’ Pre-school 1&2 and Pre-school 3. The features and resources in each room have been carefully tailored to meet the development needs of the children as they grow; from tiny babies ready to explore, right the way through to confident and capable
pre-school children who are ready for school. The nursery works to the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS), the government framework for children in the Early Years Sector. The fantastic resources, well balanced routines and inspirational planned play opportunities provide the children with an endless variety of opportunities to develop new skills. Equipment, routines and planned experiences support children's learning across all seven EYFS learning areas. At Little Legends Nursery we believe that strong relationships with parents are key to a successful nursery. We work closely with the parents of children from the child’s very first session. We listen carefully to what they want for their child and try our very best to accommodate this. We also have our unique stay, chat and play sessions. These are run twice daily, allowing the parents at Little Legends the opportunity to stay a little longer when they drop off or collect their child. This lets parent’s see their child learning as they get involved in our fun activities. It also allows parents time to build relationships with other adults at the nursery, whether this be the parents of their children’s friends or the superb team of qualified nursery employees who look after their child during the rest of the play session. We also have a exceptional indoor/ outdoor covered play area. This allows the children at Little Legends Nursery all the benefits of fresh air and exercise during every single play session they attend, regardless of what the British weather brings that day. We are dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment; giving parents peace of mind that their children are safe during their time at Little Legends nursery. The entire building is secure and the physical design and robust policies ensure only authorised persons can gain access at any time. In addition to this the building has CCTV indoors and outdoors allowing the management full supervision and ensuring they can respond promptly to ensure the safety of all, if it is ever needed. Both the nursery and the pre-school are graduate led sites with deputy managers qualified to degree and Early year professional statues level. This ensures that the nursery and pre-school have well planned routines and learning and development opportunities that allow the children to make good progress.
