A Proud Moment at Merry Kidz Gorton!

We were truly honored and delighted to welcome our esteemed Councillor Julie Reid to Merry Kidz Gorton for a visit to our nursery. It was a wonderful opportunity for her to see first-hand the high standards of practice, warm and nurturing environment, professionalism, and dedication that are at the heart of everything we do.

During her visit, she had the opportunity to tour our nursery, meet our wonderful team, and experience the welcoming atmosphere we work so hard to create for our children and families.

At Merry Kidz Gorton, we take enormous pride in our practice. Our highly trained, knowledgeable and professional practitioners are passionate about providing children with the very best start in life. Every day, our team works with dedication, care and enthusiasm to create an environment where children feel safe, valued, confident, happy and inspired to learn.

RESUMPTION IS ALMOST HERE! ARE YOU READY, MERRY KIDZ FAMILIES?

The holidays have been full of fun, cuddles, late mornings and lots of play… but guess what? It’s almost time to get back into our Merry Kidz routine!

Dear little ones, here’s your mission:

Choose your favourite nursery bag.
Help mummy or daddy pick your outfits.
Find those shoes and practise putting them on yourself!
Pick a favourite storybook to bring along.
Most importantly… bring your BIGGEST SMILE!

Parents, here are a few simple tips to make resumption easier:

1. Reset the routine
Start bringing bedtime and wake-up times back to normal a few days before resumption.

2. Practise breakfast time
A healthy breakfast helps little minds get ready to learn, play and explore.

3. Pack together
Let your child help pack their nursery bag. It builds confidence, independence and responsibility.

4. Talk about nursery positively
Ask questions like: “What are you excited to do at nursery?” or “Which friend are you looking forward to seeing?”

5. Expect some big feelings
A little separation anxiety is completely normal after a long break. Keep goodbyes calm, confident and reassuring. A big hug, a smile and “I’ll see you after nursery!” can work wonders.

6. Encourage independence
Practise little skills at home — washing hands, using the toilet, tidying toys, putting on shoes and feeding themselves. Every little step is a BIG achievement!
