🌟 Baby 2 July Round-Up! 🌟

What a wonderful months we’ve had in Baby 2! 💚

Our little learners have loved exploring a variety of sensory experiences, using their hands to touch, feel and investigate different textures. Water play and sand play have been particular favourites, with lots of splashing, pouring, scooping and digging, helping to develop their fine motor skills, curiosity and imagination. 💦🏖️

We’ve also had lots of fun learning about mini beasts and animals, enjoying stories activities and opportunities to explore the world around us. From searching for tiny creatures to talking about different animals, the children have shown so much curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the month. 🐞🐛🦋🐾

It’s been fantastic to watch their confidence, curiosity and independence continue to grow through play. We can’t wait to see what adventures August has in store! 💛

🌟 Baby Room One - July Round-Up! 🌟

What a wonderful month we’ve had in Baby Room One! 💛

Our little learners have loved exploring a variety of exciting sensory experiences throughout July. From splashing and pouring during water play 💦 to discovering different textures in our sensory trays through touching and feeling, every activity has encouraged curiosity and exploration.

The children also enjoyed going on dinosaur adventures, using their imaginations while learning all about these fascinating creatures! 🦖🦕

Music time has been another favourite this month, with lots of opportunities to explore different instruments, sing nursery rhymes and join in with actions. These experiences help to support communication, confidence and a love of music from an early age. 🎵🎶

It’s been a month full of smiles, laughter and hands-on learning, and we can’t wait to see what adventures August brings! 💚

🐞 Mini Beast Adventure in Preschool! 🐛

Our preschool children have been busy exploring the wonderful world of mini beasts! We began by reading the much-loved story The Grouchy Ladybird, which sparked lots of conversations about the different creatures we might find outdoors!

The children then set off on their own mini beast hunt around our outdoor area, carefully searching under leaves, in the grass and around the garden. Armed with their checklists, they excitedly ticked off each mini beast they discovered along the way! 🐞🐌🪱🐜

Activities like these encourage curiosity, develop observation skills and help children learn about the natural world through hands-on exploration.

What a fantastic day of discovering nature! 🍃💚

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.
