Little Explorers Nursery Swinton

It’s a construction zone 🚧 👷

Let’s get our hard hats on and set to work! One Explorer had said they visited a building site to see the diggers so we recreated it here. 🪏🪚

We are ready to get building! 🏗️

We have had an activity with a flower garden 🪏 🪴

Using our tweezers to ‘save’ the insects we find there and placing them where they would be happy and safe in the garden 🌷🪻🐞🐛

This activity was so much fun. We talked about insects, flowers and plants, what insects need and it also helped our fine motor skills. Using the tweezers was really good fun for this 🤏🏼

When the sun is out ☀️ Our smiles are that extra little bit bigger 😁😎

Playing outdoors using paints, leaves and soaking up the vitamin D🍃 All whilst staying sun safe 🌞

Make sure to pop sun cream on your Explorers before nursery and add the bottle to their bag they leave here. We can help them reapply during the day.

We had some really good fun on Earth day 🌍

We used coloured pasta and also straws and paint to make our own Earth painting 🖼️ Blowing down the straw to get the pretty colours of our Earth. This is a really fun activity to help with teaching new skills 👏

Our Pre-school children have been practicing their pencil control by tracing and following different types of lines ✏️ Here we incorporated Jungle animals to the activity to make it fun and engaging🦜 🐘

Concentrating and controlling the way the pencil moved. Improving their fine motor skills 🖐️
Well Done Explorers. You did amazing! 👏

We have had lots of fun outside in the warm weather, painting the tyres 🎨 🛞
The children were discussing the colours they were using and what happened when they mixed them together 🖌️ 🎨
