These help to ensure that mandatory Anti-Doping education needs are met, and by attending the workshop, it will mean an athlete has received education on all of the mandatory topics. 🤝

The first National Dan Grading of 2026 at the National Taekwondo Centre is just over two weeks away, with candidates joining us in Manchester on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲.

This important milestone will be for British Taekwondo members wishing to take a physical in person test for 𝟭𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝗻𝗱, 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, and we invite you to join us for this special grading opportunity.

This high quality and robust examination opportunity will provide a memorable lifetime experience for candidates, with the grading panel consisting of Kukkiwon ranked Grand Masters – all 8th Dan and above – from across the British Taekwondo family.

The British Taekwondo Poomsae Referee Department will be hosting an 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 Poomsae Referee Refresher and Class 2 Promotion Course on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 between 19.00-22.00

Led by Class 1 International Referee Grand Master Glen Culbert, this seminar is your chance to deepen your understanding of how and why Poomsae is judged the way it is.

The course is designed to strengthen your understanding of the latest WT Poomsae rules, regulations, and scoring methods, while gaining hands‑on experience with modern Side‑by‑Side judging systems.

Through real‑time scoring, open discussion, and expert guidance, you’ll leave with sharper skills, stronger consistency, and renewed confidence in your refereeing.

As a British Taekwondo club instructor, you lead sessions to help your students grow; see them develop their skills in front of their eyes, and flourish into well-rounded human beings thanks to the Integrity, Self-Control and Respect instilled in them.

But sometimes an instructor’s influence can go even further than what happens in the dojang, it can become a matter of life or death. Just ask Master Paul Jones.

The Llantwit Major and Head of Wales Taekwondo TKD instructor – who achieved his 7th Dan at the UK Kukkiwon Office High Dan Promotion Test last year – has been teaching the Martial Art for over 38 years,

He has nurtured plenty of national and international Champions during that time, but when a student comes back into his class to tell him the self-defence skills he learned saved his life, nothing can quite compare.
