🌊🐠 Celebrating World Ocean Day in the Baby Room! 🐠🌊

Our little explorers enjoyed a variety of ocean-themed sensory experiences today, including mesmerising sensory motion lights, squishy ocean foam, and a textured rice tray filled with opportunities for discovery.

These activities encouraged curiosity, sensory exploration, and early problem-solving skills as the children investigated different textures, colours, movements, and materials. Through hands-on play, they developed fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and language as they shared their experiences with their friends and practitioners.

A wonderful day of learning, exploring, and discovering the wonders of our oceans! 💙🌎

🌸 Flower printing fun in the baby room! 🌸

Today our little learners explored flower printing, a wonderful sensory activity that encourages creativity, curiosity, and self-expression. As they pressed and printed with beautiful flowers, they developed their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration while discovering different textures, shapes, and patterns.

Creative experiences like this support early cognitive development, language growth through conversation, and confidence as children make their own unique creations. Most importantly, it was a joyful opportunity to connect with nature through play and exploration 🌼

Clara first joined us as an apprentice and through her hard work, dedication, and passion for childcare, she has worked her way up to become our Baby Room Leader 👶🏼
With her loving and caring nature, Clara creates a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued 🤍

Exploring stories, pictures and books at all ages helps children to build language, communication, imagination and early literacy skills. From babies enjoying sensory books and familiar voices, to toddlers joining in with repeated phrases, and preschool children retelling stories and recognising print… every experience with books supports learning and development ✨

At nursery, we encourage children to explore books every day through cosy story times, independent book choices and meaningful conversations that bring stories to life 📚

With 10 years of experience in childcare, Abbie has worked her way up from an apprentice through dedication, passion, and a genuine love for supporting children’s development.

Holding a degree in Speech and Language and currently working towards her Level 6 in Childcare, Abbie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our nursery, with a particular passion for child development and ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

As our 3rd in Charge and SENDCo, Abbie plays a key role in supporting Philippa in the day-to-day running of the nursery, helping to create a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all children and families 💛
