- Creating a new strain of criminology,

- Feminist convict criminology -

- Providing a completely fresh insight to the lived experience of women involved in organised crime.

-Whilst also, opening the door for female ex offenders to have their say in academic criminology along with allowing the voices of female ex/offenders to be heard!!

- Creating a foundation for future qualitative research regarding women, violence and organised crime.

- Recognising organised crime structures as a gendered workspace and analysing these structures as such.

- Providing a fresh qualitative insight of the individual perspective of said structures, along with, understanding the violence in a bid to the remove the risk of stigmatisation that leads to victimisation withing the justice system. (Double deviance discrimination).

- Understanding issues which exist within these structures in regards to navigation and oppression and how these are overcome.

- Recommendation of policy that can work as an intervention is provided.

Had a really interesting meeting with Dr Clive Stafford Smith OBE - International human rights lawyer - this morning. He is the founder of the Postmortem Project reviewing death penalty cases from the 70s to present day and getting the innocent who have been executed, pardoned!!

Dr Clive Stafford Smith is currently working on a filed complaint against USA, The Federal bureau of prisons, bureau of prisons director, wardens and officers based at FMC Carswell Fort Worth Tex.

Dr Aafia Siddiqui a neuroscientist from Pakistan imprisoned on terrorism charges after allegedly reaching for a gun in a situation where only herself was shot - twice in the stomach. This situation occurred after she was released from prison after 5 years on suspected terrorism offences in which she was beat, r***d and tortured for 5 years by Afghan soldiers. Her children taken and given to different families, they were renamed - one child was injured, dropped from a hight onto his head, Dr Siddiqui is still unaware if her child survived.

Examples of the complaint regarding FMC Carswell include multipul disciplinaries for the report of r**e, cases of physical violence, sexual violence and multiple violations of religious rights, human rights and mental health wellbeing.

It is argued "despite the population of FMC Carswell being composed of vulnerable people (i.e., women with specialised medical and mental health needs), the defendants have through deliberate indifference, recklessness, carelessness and gross negligence allowed Dr, Siddiqui's abuse to continue"
