This amazing human called Arthur of is running the AJ Bell Half Marathon for Music Evermore! What a legend. A half marathon is no mean feat, especially in this heat! Hopefully it has cooled down next weekend and he can run in the rain like Gene Kelly. Please send him words of encouragement and donate if you can! Thank you so much, Arthur!🏃‍♂️🤘🏻

Music Evermore is proud to be part of this year’s Festival of Lifelong Learning with a special Adult Band Session taking place on Friday 12th June 2026 from 1pm – 3pm at Wythenshawe Forum Library Creative Space. The fully funded two-hour session invites adults aged 18+ to come together to jam, create music and try out a range of instruments in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether participants are experienced musicians or complete beginners looking to build confidence and try something new, all are welcome. With drums, electric guitars, keyboards and vocal microphones all provided, the session aims to celebrate creativity, community and the joy of making music at any age. Music Evermore is proud to announce that we have been commissioned by Manchester City Council to deliver community consultation as part of the Pride in Place government funding programme.

As part of this work, we’re excited to launch a 4-day Industry Pathway taster course for young people aged 16–18 living in Benchill & Central Wythenshawe.

This is the first step in developing a 2-year, part-time evening programme (subject to funding), designed to give young people a real pathway into paid work within the music industry — including areas such as live sound, stage production, instrument tech, and more.

The course is ideal for those already attending our popular weekly band sessions, creating a clear next step and progression route into the industry.

Want to get involved?
If you are:

* Aged 16–18
* Living in Benchill or Central Wythenshawe

Email: [email protected] to register your interest.

Spaces are extremely limited (10 places only).
