Considering the summer holidays are meant to be a time to rest and recharge... we've somehow been busier than ever! 🤣

While schools have been closed for the summer, things certainly haven't slowed down at Music Evermore. In fact, it's been one of our busiest and most exciting summers yet!

From running our Summer Band Sessions at Wythenshawe Forum every week throughout August, to becoming an official charity partner at Live From Wythenshawe Park with THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT, raising nearly £1,000, taking young people behind the scenes of a major festival, launching Music Evermore FC, teaming up with legendary Manchester artist Stanley Chow Illustration, securing more funding from Manchester City Council AND receiving a Best of Manchester Award nomination...

Massive thank you to Live From Wythenshawe Park, Manchester & Engine No 4 for arranging a behind the scenes tour of the festival site for our young people this morning. Fascinating to hear about what goes in to these large scale events and possible job routes for our young people in the future. Extra fun that we got to listen / watch Pulp soundcheck, too!

Anyone that was at the Live From Wythenshawe Park, Manchester shows last weekend that asked us “why should I make a donation to Music Evermore?” Our answer was “because there will not be gigs like this in the future if we do not provide our young people with opportunities to learn instruments and music”. The lack of music provision in Primary Schools is startling, young people will then not be opting to choose this as an option in higher education.

Music Evermore FC ⚽️ Massive thank you to local Wythenshawe hero’s, Happy Somedays for organising tonight’s charity match with Live From Wythenshawe Park, Manchester. 3rd place winners after getting knocked out by The Warehouse Project in the semis. They went on to win, absolutely solid them lot, I’m tellin’ ya. If you’re in Wythenshawe Park for Pulp, Courteeners or The Prodigy Official this weekend, go and see Happy Somedays at the charity stand, grab a bucket hat and get behind more local Wythenshawe community groups doing amazing things. Big shout out to our tutors Pat and Harry, and to Dan from adidas for volunteering with us once again, and James Ryan from the Wythenshawe Forum Creative Space for stepping in as 5th player. Right, we’re knackered now! A few days rest before the new school term begins 🤣🤘🏻

Stanley Chow Illustration x Music Evermore — Limited Edition, Signed Numbered Print 🤝

Manchester artist Stanley Chow has teamed up with Music Evermore CIC for a very special limited-edition print, helping raise vital funds to give more young people access to music.

Each print will be individually signed and numbered by Stanley Chow, making this a genuinely limited piece of Manchester artwork while supporting a brilliant cause.

Music Evermore is a Manchester-based not-for-profit organisation working to remove the financial barriers that can prevent children and young people from learning, creating and performing music.

Through fully funded music tuition, band sessions, school programmes, holiday projects and live performance opportunities, Music Evermore gives young people the chance to pick up an instrument, join a band, write songs, build confidence and experience the incredible feeling of making music together — regardless of their background or their family's ability to pay.

Working across Wythenshawe and communities throughout Manchester, Music Evermore now provides music opportunities to over 1,000 young people every week.

Proceeds from every print sold will help Music Evermore continue providing funded music opportunities for young people across Manchester.
