FF Legend Furquan Qureshi
This month the FF alumni travelled to Chicago, to start his USA Scholarship programme.
In his time at FF, not only did he play in a wide variety of teams and competitions, he also helped at recruitment events and spent time at local primary schools, delivering health workshops to the children alongside the FF staff (pictured).
We caught up with Furquan as he made this exciting move.
1. I chose this path as I get to play a really good standard of football, and I can also get a really good degree out of it. I get to experience being a student, and I'm doing it all abroad in America.
2. All the staff at FF have played a massive role in helping me get to where I am. But I definitely would say big shoutout to John for helping me get Distinctions, and a big thank you to Tyler aswell for all the extra sessions he held.
3. Only advice I would have to anyone who is interested is, be 100% sure about it, and work hard on and off the pitch. Train hard, eat right, do your runs, go to the gym, stay on top of your coursework, it all helps one way or another.
4. My time at FF couldn't have been any better. From the football, to the education, and all the fun I had. It definitely had a huge part in getting to me where I am, and looking back at it, I'm glad I decided to spend my 2 years at FF. Otherwise I wouldn't be where I am right now.
