We’re looking for Community Council Members to join our Academy Community Councils.

Academy Community Councils are the local committees that help our academies provide the best opportunities for children and young people.
You don’t need to work in education or have governance experience.

We’re looking for people who care about their community, want young people to succeed and are happy to bring their own perspective to the table.

Training and support are provided.

The Little Green Cabin will be open for its final week before the summer break!

📅 Wednesday & Thursday
⏰ 11.30am - 12.30pm

Come along for fresh food, tins and packets, and hygiene items from our Community Fridge & School Pantry. You can also pick up fresh salad leaves from our raised beds (maybe even a strawberry or two!) and grab a new book for summer from our Little Library! 📚

We will then close for summer. Keep an eye out for our September opening times.

Huge well done to Sophia in Year 7! After finishing her English classwork early, Mrs Howarth challenged her to write a story called 'The Day the World Ended'.

📝 Sophia got straight to work and finished the whole creative piece before the bell rang! We are so proud of her amazing imagination and hard work.

There is nothing quite like watching a young person find their voice and run with it; that is exactly what happened with Sophia in Year 7.

Our Theatre was filled with music, applause and proud smiles at our Summer Showcase! 🎶

Students from all year groups took to the stage; from our Big Band and string orchestra to piano solos. It was a brilliant opportunity for them to build their confidence and shine.

A huge congratulations to Zahrah in Year 11 for winning the Keith Fantham Award for her outstanding contribution to music 🏆

Thank you to all the families and staff who came to support.

Our Year 9 students recently had an incredible day stepping into the world of medicine with the Mini Medics workshop.

🩺 Working alongside a qualified doctor and a trainee doctor, 150 of our brilliant students used real medical equipment. They tested lung volumes, used an ultrasound to measure blood vessels, and even recorded an ECG!

It was an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and think about future careers. We're so proud of how hard they worked together.

On Monday, Mrs Wright and Ms Smith took four of our brilliant students to the Co-op Academies Trust headquarters at Angel Square. Their artwork was chosen to be displayed in the finals of the "This is Me" art competition!

Our students spent a fantastic day seeing their work displayed, taking part in creative workshops, and learning from a professional artist.

We're so proud of how they expressed their unique identities and values. Myla said it best: "You should always be yourself."

They didn't win the top prize, but they gained an unforgettable experience and showed everyone what makes Co-op Academy Manchester so special.
