This Black History Month, our Year 7, 8 and 9 students have been getting creative for the Co-op's Show Racism the Red Card competition. From vibrant paintings and digital creations to moving poetry, their artwork shows how we can build a future where everyone belongs.

We are so proud of our students for using their voices to promote kindness and inclusion. Good luck to everyone who entered!

Platforms such as Character.AI, Replika and Snapchat My AI can provide entertainment and creativity, but their human-like interactions can also create important risks.

Our latest guide explores:
• Emotional dependency
• Harmful or unreliable mental health advice
• Oversharing personal information
• Inappropriate or explicit content
• Distorted expectations around real-world relationships
• Subscription and in-app spending pressures

Last week was GREAT Behaviour Week at Co-op Academy Manchester!

Every day, 5 students won a prize for zero behaviour points. Over the week, an amazing 1,100 students had zero negative behaviours logged!

Huge congratulations to our grand prize winner, Kenny, who took home a brand-new bike for 100% positive behaviour!

We are so proud of our young people for showing respect, focus, and kindness every single day. 🤝

We are celebrating with special assemblies and library displays packed with great reads. Year 9 are also exploring Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman in Form Time.

Students wanting to get creative can join the Show Racism the Red Card creative competition - Tuesdays after school in Art.

Together, we celebrate diversity, inclusion, and opportunity for every child.
