The society was ran by, and for students, both past and present. The society closed due to controlling pressure from departmental staff.

There are a few administrators and if you are part of the society and wish to organise a social event just leave a message on our wall. Socials are not just out in town, we have learned to ski/snowboard, hiked the 3 peaks, gone mountain biking, ice skating, camping, etc....

If you want to organise it, others will follow.

FINAL REMINDER..... Send us your photos and memories of the late and great Prof Dr Dr David Collins DNC!!

In preparation for the memorial event we are organising a competition to find excellent photographs of fieldwork activity led by David.

We would welcome entry of photographs from current and former students. If you would like to enter please send a digital image to: [email protected] the deadline of midnight Friday 6 January 2017!!! TONIGHT

When sending your photograph, please change the filename to the following format, so that we can identify it easily. e.g. SurnameForname-YEAR-MONTH-COUNTRYTAKEN.jpg
Please also try to send photographs of less than 10mb or use a file transfer site such as wetransfer (https://wetransfer.com/) to send large or multiple images.

A print of the winning entry will be framed for display in Peel Building and will be unveiled at the Memorial Event. Other entries will be combined to form a commemorative album of David’s work with Salford students between 1999 and 2016.

Interested in volunteering??
There is a one off volunteering meeting for the School of Environmental Life Sciences on Thursday 28th of April in Peel LG08/09!!
This meeting aims to engage with all undergraduate students to gather an idea of what volunteering opportunities they would like to be apart of. With a hope of implementing more opportunities in the future.
