We invite you to Educare’s annual Halloween party! 🧌🎃All children who attend on Friday 30th October are welcome to dress up in their favourite Halloween costume for party day! 👻🪩 There will be lots of spook-tacular activities and games taking part all day for your little ones to enjoy! 👻🎃

Please don’t worry if your child doesn’t attend on a Friday, they are more than welcome to dress up throughout the whole week of Halloween, as there will be plenty of freakishly fun activities going on all week! 🦇🕷️🕸️🧙

Preschool have been busy this morning making star biscuits! ⭐️

Throughout the activity preschool developed their social skills further, communication and language and their mathematical skills as they looked closely at the weighing scales to make sure that they had the correct amount of each ingredient, discussed their ideas of what will happen to the ingredients when they mixed them together and took turns to roll the dough and cut the biscuit shapes out! ⭐️

🦷The Importance of Healthy Teeth 🦷

This afternoon, preschool discussed the importance of brushing our teeth and the consequences of not taking care of our oral health. They spoke about what foods are healthy and unhealthy for teeth, explaining that some foods are “full of sugar” and can make your teeth “rotten”. 🦠🪥

The children then demonstrated their excellent brushing skills, understanding that we brush our teeth twice a day, for two minutes at a time. They cleaned a prosthetic set of teeth, being timed by Kayla and successfully removed all of the “germs” and made the teeth nice and clean again! 🤩⭐️🪥🦷

Toddlers loved making smoothies yesterday to learn about the 5 senses.
We cut up strawberries, mango and bananas and spoke about how we use a knife safely. The children also tried the fruit and spoke about what they could taste and the textures they could feel before helping blend the fruits together with orange juice. 🍓🥭🍌

Today’s the day!!

A huge GOOD LUCK to our amazing Becky the Manager at our Bury Nursery, who is taking on the marathon CoppaFeel! Trek in the Lake District today!

Becky is joining Giovanna Fletcher and hundreds of other trekkers on a one-day CoppaTrek! Challenge to end the late diagnosis of breast cancer.

We’ll all be cheering her on every step of the way! 💕

Our Babies have had a lovely 2 weeks back at nursery, settling back in and welcoming some lovely new faces. We have been focusing on our interests having lots of free play and engaging with toys getting to know all of the children and seeing what they like to get up too😄

Ideas for home:
> Sensory - Can you make your own sensory bottles or a sensory tuff tray full of your child's interests
> Mirror play - Providing mirrors for each child to look at their own reflection being able to recognise themselves
> Family photos - Feel free to bring in some of your favourite family photos❤️

⭐️ A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our Brockhall Manager Vic ⭐️

Next week marks an amazing 20 YEARS working for Educare! As we will be closed for our summer break, we made sure we celebrated with her a little early this week ❤️

Vic started with us 20 years ago as an Apprentice and has worked her way up through different roles over the years, to now doing an amazing job as Manager of our Brockhall nursery.

Her positivity and passion for making sure every child she has looked after over the years has the best possible experience has followed her through every role, and she’s always there with a smile and a helping hand.

When we asked Vic what she would like to mark 20 years with us, she chose something she can enjoy with her family — a trip to Disneyland Paris! 🏰✨ We hope you all have the most amazing time and make lots of lovely memories together ❤️

🩵❤️ 30 YEARS OF EDUCARE ❤️🩵

What an unforgettable day we had yesterday!

A huge thank you to every child, family and member of staff (past and present) & everyone who has supported Educare over the last 30 years. We simply couldn’t have reached this incredible milestone without you.

Yesterday was a fantastic celebration across all of our nurseries! The children had an amazing time enjoying the bouncy castles, delicious ice cream, games and lots of special treats. With plenty of smiles, laughter and memories made along the way🍦

In the evening, our wonderful team came together for a meal to celebrate 30 years of Educare and to recognise the dedication, care and passion of everyone who has helped make Educare what it is today.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to 30 amazing years of nurturing, learning and growing together … and to many more to come! ❤️🩵🥂
