Wells House

Wells House Wells House creates a mindful, nurturing and caring environment. A place full of adventure where arts Wells House Kindergarten has been established since 1996.

It is located in Stoneclough with good road links to Bolton & Whitefield. It is a detached setting with an extensive outside play area for all ages. Wells House is registered for up to 60 children. The nursery cares for children from birth to 5 years of age and currently has 5 units for children to be grouped according to age and development stages. Wells House is an inclusive setting.

It has been incredible seeing all the lovely first day of school pictures from our Little Discoverers! 🥹💚

Just look at them all in their smart new uniforms, ready for their next big adventure! We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Seeing those smiling faces has definitely made us a little emotional! 🥰

📚 Keep your eyes peeled tonight… we have a very special story coming all about starting school! 👀✨

Every other Thursday, the Discoverers enjoy Spanish lessons. Today, our wonderful teacher, Leona, was introduced to the children. She taught them simple Spanish words through fun songs, rhymes, props, and dancing. The new Discoverers really connected with Leona, listening closely and repeating the words they learned. I’m excited to see how our Discoverers embrace these new Spanish words in the coming lessons!

Today, the only thing on the children’s minds was the zoo! 🦁🦓🐒

So, we put Meg’s amazing face-painting skills to the test and let the children choose their favourite animals to become. 🎨✨

It was such a fun and creative activity, bringing their zoo experiences to life while building on everything they’ve learned about the animals. 🐘🦒🐯

Most importantly, it was the perfect way to end our preschool leavers’ journey — filled with laughter, creativity, messy fun and lots of happy memories that they can take with them as they head off on their next adventure. 💛

🦁🐒🦒 WHAT A ZOO-PER DAY! 🦓🦜🐘

What an incredible day we had yesterday at Blackpool Zoo with our wonderful preschool leavers! ❤️

The day was filled with laughter, sunshine, excitement, amazement and lots of goodies! ☀️🍭 The children had made their own little lists of all the animals they wanted to see and, you can guarantee, we made sure we found them! ✅🐯🦍🦒

We walked and walked, climbed, explored, chatted about all the amazing animals and even got to feed the parrots! 🦜 There were so many excited faces and plenty of “WOW!” moments throughout the day.

Every single child was absolutely brilliant and it was so lovely watching them enjoy one of their final adventures together before they head off on their next big journey. 🥹❤️

And we knew it had been a VERY successful day when we climbed back onto the coach to come home and… one by one, every single child fell asleep! 😂😴🚌

A day full of memories, laughter and friendship that we will treasure for a very long time. 🥰

💚 A SAD DAY AT WELLS HOUSE 💚
Today we have to say a very sad goodbye to our wonderful Paige. 🥹💚

Paige has been such a special part of our Wells House family, and over the time she has been with us she has brought so much kindness, laughter, love and dedication to our setting. She will truly be missed by the children, families and the whole team.

Now it’s time for Paige to spread her wings and start her next adventure as a Primary School Teacher! 📚🍎✨ We couldn’t be prouder of you and everything you have achieved.
Although we’re sad to see you go, we are so excited to see where this next chapter takes you. We know you are going to be an amazing teacher and make such a difference to so many little lives. 💚
Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our family, Paige. We will miss you massively! Wishing you all the happiness, success and luck in the world for your new adventure. Go and be amazing! 🌿✨

💛 What a bittersweet day it has been today… 💛

Today we had our very last party with our wonderful pre-school leavers, and what a day it was! 🥹🎉

There has been music, dancing, cake, party games, Spanish and LOTS of fun and laughter — the perfect way to celebrate such a special group of children and all of the amazing memories we have made together. 🎶💃🕺🎂

It is always such a strange mixture of emotions when this day arrives. We are so incredibly proud of how much each and every one of our children has grown, learned and blossomed during their time with us, but at the same time, it is so hard knowing that our journey together is coming to an end. ❤️

We have watched them grow in confidence, build friendships, find their personalities, learn new things, overcome challenges and make us smile every single day. From the little ones who first walked through our doors to the confident, kind and brilliant children standing in front of us today — what a privilege it has been to be part of their journey. 🌟

There have been countless giggles, cuddles, funny conversations, adventures, proud moments and memories that we will treasure for a very long time. Every single child has brought something special and unique to our setting, and they will all leave a little piece of themselves behind with us. 🥰

As they get ready to take that huge next step into big school, we know they are more than ready for their next adventure. We hope they walk through those new doors with confidence, excitement and the knowledge that they can achieve anything they put their minds to. 📚✏️🎒

To all of our wonderful pre-school leavers — keep being curious, keep being kind, keep laughing, keep learning and most importantly, keep being YOU. 💫

And to all of our families, thank you for trusting us with your precious little people and allowing us to play a part in these incredibly important early years. It really is an honour, and saying goodbye is never easy. ❤️

Today may have been our last party together, but the memories we have made will stay with us forever.

🐄🐷 Farmyard Fun for Our Little Explorers! 🐑🚜

Our Little Explorers have had lots of fun exploring our farm-themed tuff tray, with plenty of opportunities for learning across all 7 areas of the EYFS. 🌾💚

🎨 Expressive Arts & Design – Exploring and using different media and materials, creating their own farmyard play and using their imaginations to develop stories and scenarios.

🗣️ Communication & Language – Learning and using the names of different farm animals, making and recognising animal noises and talking together about what they could see and do.

📚 Literacy – Joining in with familiar words, sounds and repetition through songs and rhymes, including a firm favourite, “Old MacDonald Had a Farm!” 🎶

🔢 Mathematics – Counting the animals, sorting them into groups and exploring number and quantity through play.

🌍 Understanding the World – Talking about farms, the animals that live there and sharing the children’s own real-life experiences of visiting farms.

🤝 Personal, Social & Emotional Development – Playing alongside others, sharing resources, taking turns and listening to each other’s ideas and experiences.

🤏 Physical Development – Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as the children picked up, moved, sorted and positioned the animals and other resources.

A tuff tray full of exploring, talking, singing, counting and imaginative play – so much learning while having lots of fun! 🐮🐴🐷🐑💚
