Film Festival - CameraWise 01/04/2026

CameraWise will celebrate the opening of the FMG Media Lab at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) with seven fully funded spaces on the Filmmaking for Fieldwork (F4F) Summer School (Monday afternoons 8 June - 6 July) for researchers who work in the faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences (FMG) at UvA. On Friday 17 April, 4-6pm we are launching our latest publication Empirical Art: filmmaking for fieldwork in practice (published by Manchester University Press in 2026 as part of the Granada Centre’s Anthropology, Creative Practice and Ethnography book series). Volume editors and contributors will be present to answer questions posed by anthropologist Jeanette Pols, followed by a wrap party for CameraWise with food and drinks.
