As SATs week begins, I just wanted to say how incredibly proud I am of every single one of them. Over the past few months, I have watched them grow in confidence, resilience and belief. The hard work, determination and effort they have put into every session has truly been inspiring.

These tests do not define who they are, but they are a chance to show just how much progress they have made and trust me, they have all come so far. From tackling tricky maths questions to developing mature, thoughtful writing and improving your reading skills, you should be so proud of yourselves already.

Private tuition is never just about worksheets and exam practice. It is about building confidence, filling gaps, celebrating progress and helping children realise what they are capable of. Seeing my students walk into this week feeling stronger, calmer and more prepared makes every single hour worthwhile.

Now it’s time to take a deep breath, believe in the progress and shine. No matter what happens this week, I couldn’t be prouder.

I can’t lie, this week has been BUSY! Next week is looking exactly the same but it’s little things like this that make me proud in what I do.

Seeing some of my year 6’s flying the nest and knowing they’re as ready as they can be for SATs next week makes me so proud.

It puts a smile on my face when parents go out of their way to say thank you. Honestly so grateful 😭🥰📚✏️

By Years 3 and 4, children begin developing key skills in times tables, problem solving, fractions and reasoning.

Private tuition can provide children with the extra support, confidence and personalised teaching they may not always receive in a busy classroom setting. We’re getting closer to SATs week and we’re just tightening up the loose ends of those ‘oh I forgot what that is again’. However, after some boosters the penny drops and it’s so satisfying when you hear ‘yeah I remember what to do now’.

This time of year can be nerve wracking for my Year 6 children however the benefit of private 1-1 tuition means that I’ve been with them every step of the way, guiding, supporting and explaining methods in a way that they will fully understand!

This little superstar has been working her socks off. Such a great listener and applying the skills she has learnt in both her maths and English to her work. At the moment we’re concentrating on hitting those year 4 writing objectives succinctly which will improve her SPaG.

Shout out to this little dude! He’s absolutely mastered length and capacity. From conversion to reasoning and problem solving skills, it’s now a big tick ✅ for this topic! Children can often struggle with mm, cm, km and volume etc but with that 1-1 personal approach - we got there 🤩🥳📚✏️
