Official profile of The Student Committee of the Latin American Postgraduate Programme of the Univer What is SCLAPP?

Organised by a team of PhD students from a broad spectrum of academic backgrounds the Student Committee of the Latin American Postgraduate Programme (SCLAPP) is based at the University of Manchester and provides academic assistance to Latin American post-graduate students during their development at the university. The team:
Jonathan Sanchez (President) – Second year PhD student at the Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, specialising on high performance computing and fluid dynamics. Ruben Ahumada Lazo – First year PhD student at the School of Physics and Astronomy, focusing on dynamics of charge transfer between quantum dots and semi-conductor surfaces. Eduardo Lopez – Fourth year PhD student at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, looking at the use of statistics to control chemical batch processes. Diana Talia Alvarez Ruiz – Third year PhD student at the School of Materials, researching thermoelectric materials. Natalia Moreira- Third year PhD at the School of Materials and Manchester Business School, analysing the consumer involvement in the development of new sustainable products. Ernesto Reyes – Second year student at the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences, investigating atmospheric pollution in urban cities.
