This week the children in EY3 have been busy creating for their summer display ! ☀️

All the elements are a combination of children's art and recycled materials like paper plates to create turtles and jellyfish and cardboard box packaging for the sand. ♻️

Teaching children about recycling and sustainability nurtures their understanding and appreciation for the environment, encouraging them to become responsible and caring individuals. 🫶

EY3 couldn't resist making some gorgeous rainbow patterns on a sunny day! 🌈☀️

Toddler 2 enjoyed our beach activity where they were exploring sand and some sea animals. 🏖

The children had lots of fun making sand castles, filling and emptying the beakers, and feeling the texture of the sand through their fingers.

This activity was beneficial for their social development as they were taking turns and sharing tools, it was also beneficial for their language development as the children were able to identify the sea animals and repeating words that staff were modelling for them.

Today was Graduation Day for our children who will be moving on to school in September 🎓🧑🏽‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓

A huge thank you to all of the parents that turned up and helped us to celebrate this huge milestone in your child's life🎉🎈

We are so proud of each and every one of them, and know they will continue to grow and achieve as they move on to school

Taking turns and 123's

Beaming smiles, hugs and wiggles
Circle time and lots of giggles
Building blocks, dressing up clothes
Learning how a flower grows

Happy days, making friends

But like a butterfly, time has flown

This week in Toddler 1 we have been playing in the sand and pouring and filling the dishes. We used a range of tools like spoons, sieves and bowls to explore the sand and strengthen our fine motor skills.

We have been putting sand into the colander and watching it come out from the bottom. this helps to foster sensory exploration and develop our problem-solving skills!
