Pain is real. But it is also influenced by the nervous system, stress, sleep, movement, thoughts, emotions, and daily habits.

That's why we have created a FREE resource:

How to identify your own pain patterns and triggers
A practical framework for building a sustainable daily routine

This free guide is educational, evidence-informed, and designed to work alongside the support of your therapist, coach, or healthcare team, not replace them

There is a huge difference between learning information and learning how to support real human beings.

People often imagine that health coaching or integrative health training is about nutrition plans, wellness advice, and motivation. In reality, professional practice goes far deeper than that.

Our learners develop the kind of skills that cannot be reduced to a checklist. They learn to communicate with care, to reflect honestly on their own practice, to hold space for the complexity of real human lives, and to work within professional and ethical boundaries that protect the people they serve.

Because working with real people carries responsibility.

It is not about becoming an influencer. It is about becoming a safe, skilled, and reflective practitioner who genuinely makes a difference.

That has been our focus at Active Health Group for over 25 years. And it remains so today.

Many health and wellbeing professionals spend their lives supporting others whilst quietly neglecting themselves.

Coaches, therapists, practitioners, carers, educators and healthcare professionals often carry enormous emotional responsibility. Holding space for others can be deeply meaningful, but it can also become exhausting when there is little time left for your own recovery, reflection, or support.

Burnout within helping professions is far more common than many realise.
Mental health is not just about “coping better.” It is also about boundaries, nervous system regulation, rest, connection, purpose, and recognising when we ourselves need support.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to acknowledge not only those struggling with mental health challenges, but also the professionals who spend their days helping others through theirs.

The people supporting mental health also deserve support.

We’re often asked whether we cover cancer coaching within our programmes at Active Health Group.

The honest answer is that while we provide strong foundations in health coaching, cancer support is a highly specialised area — and when it comes to that level of expertise, we believe in learning from those who have dedicated their careers to it.

That’s why we’re pleased to recommend the Health Coaching for People with Cancer programme led by Dr Rosy Daniel — a pioneer in holistic cancer support with more than 40 years of experience working with people affected by cancer.

In fact, Richard will personally be joining the upcoming Summer 2026 cohort. Continuing professional development matters at every stage of practice, and this is training we feel confident recommending because we are investing in it ourselves.

This programme includes: • Four half-day masterclasses • Practice tutorials with Dr Rosy Daniel • UKIHCA-approved CPD training • A recognised Cancer Coaching Foundation Certificate

Cancer now affects 1 in 2 people in the UK, and specialist support has never been more important. This is meaningful, compassionate work that requires sensitivity, knowledge, and strong professional boundaries.

We’re also pleased that AHG graduates are eligible for a 10% discount on this programme.

If you would like to explore this opportunity, you can view the full course details here:

If you're one of our graduates and would like the AHG discount details, feel free to message Health Creations directly.

Here’s something we don’t say enough…

The men we’ve worked with — in dressing rooms, in support groups, and in coaching rooms — are some of the most self-aware and motivated people we’ve met. Often, they simply needed the right space.

Between us, Christian and I have many years of experience working in this field. Christian also brings something particularly valuable through his work as a facilitator with , supporting men’s mental health in a very practical, hands-on way.

That experience sits behind everything we are now building in our men’s health and wellbeing coaching work.

That’s why I’m genuinely excited about launching this course.

Watch this space.

Happy Monday everyone.

Introducing Our Founding Pilot Programme — Level 3 Men’s Health Coaching In Association with Mentell

Over the past few weeks, we have been exploring the realities of working with men — the pressures many men face, the barriers to engagement, and the importance of conversations that feel practical, respectful, and safe.

These conversations reflect what many professionals are already seeing in real-world settings.

Men want to improve their health, manage stress, strengthen relationships, and feel a greater sense of purpose — yet many professionals report having had little formal preparation for working specifically with male clients.

In response to this growing need, we are pleased to introduce our new online Level 3 Men’s Health Coaching Training Programme, launching in association with Mentell, a UK charity dedicated to supporting men’s mental health through safe, facilitated conversations.

This programme has been shaped by real-world experience, professional insight, and learning from community environments where men feel able to talk openly and build trust.

Our Founding Pilot Cohort launches on 1st May.

This pilot intake includes:
Online learning delivery
Recorded learning materials
Live teaching sessions
Flexible coaching practice workshops via Zoom
Opportunities to build confidence working with male clients

Pilot Programme Fee: £399 (Full Programme Fee £799)

Limited to 20 Founding Pilot Places

Over the coming weeks, we will continue sharing more details about the programme content and who this course is designed to support.
