“Landscape & Sea waves”

Our students explored acrylic modelling paste to create texture and movement in their landscape and sea wave paintings. 🎨

They learned how to combine modelling paste, acrylic paint and expressive brushwork to build rich, highly textured surfaces that capture the energy of crashing waves and natural landscapes, while developing their understanding of acrylic mediums and techniques 🪾🌊🗻🏔️

“Goldfish”

Our students painted goldfish using white gouache on black paper, developing control of tone, brushwork and edge quality while combining gouache with soft pastel pencils.

They explored how light, contrast and negative space can create form, transparency, reflection and depth, revealing the goldfish through light rather than outlines 🟠🐟

“Bauhaus Still life”

Our students explored the Bauhaus movement using gouache.

They learned to paint flat, opaque colours with clean edges, mix a limited harmonious palette, and simplify a still life into bold geometric forms. 🔴🔷🔻🟩

“Zorn Pallet”

Our students explored the Zorn Palette, discovering how a beautiful range of colours can be created using just four carefully chosen colours.

Through painting a still life, they developed their colour mixing skills, brushwork, and understanding of harmony, learning how a limited palette can create balance and unity within a composition.
