Week 6 (Wilmslow afternoon class)
“Fruit Splash”
Students explored how to use gouache to build up expressive fruit and water splash compositions 🎨💦
They began by blocking in simple shapes, then layered opaque paint to develop form, depth, and colour. Using a mix of controlled brushwork and looser marks, they created movement in the water and structure in the fruit.
The result was dynamic paintings full of energy, contrast, and bold gouache effects 🍒🍉🍓💦

“Lisbon Tram”
Our students explored urban sketching inspired by the streets of Lisbon 🚃🚋

The focus was on capturing movement and character with a loose, expressive style, while making personal colour choices inspired by Lisbon’s light and tiles.
A fantastic exercise in balancing line, colour, and white space 🤩
