Xaverian’s year has been topped off with the Chamber Music at the Church and Summer Concerts and the energetic XBand concert night. Talented music students from across the College, on A Level Music and Xtras music enrichment, came together to display their talents by performing in front of live audiences in a range of music genres and styles!

NEWS: Manchester Mayoral candidates grilled by Xaverian Politics students 📰

The event saw all six candidates, representing the main UK parties, take questions on a range of subjects from gender identity to housing issues!

Forty students came together for the staging of Agatha Christie's 'The Witness for the Prosecution', a classic thriller from the best-selling novelist and duchess of death. In a new adaptation written for Xaverian College, students took on the roles of the jury and the barristers entangled in the complicated murder trial of Leonard Vole, who finds himself standing in the dock with his only alibi appearing as witness for the prosecution!

NEWS: Budding Xaverian newshounds recognised for their exceptional journalistic talents 📰

Since its inception in 2022 as a Xaverian Xtra enrichment activity ‘Xavazine’ has offered students the opportunity to flex their journalistic muscles and immerse themselves in the writing and production of a real online magazine!

After the recent Oxford trip, it was now Cambridge's turn!

We took 22 students to the University of Cambridge Open Day, giving them another fantastic opportunity to explore university life and future possibilities - even if the scorching sunshine made it one of the hottest days yet! ☀️🎓

Wales Laudato Si' Retreat 🌿

This week, our students and staff have been in Llanrwst for our Laudato Si' ecological retreat!

Through time spent in nature, prayer, reflection and discussion, they have explored the interconnectedness of creation and our shared responsibility to care for our common home - it has been a truly enriching and inspiring experience!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful students and to our retreat leaders – Sian, Lou, Stewart, Erryl and Roger – for making this time together so meaningful, positive and memorable!

A fantastic day at the University of Oxford Open Day! 🎓☀️

We were delighted to take 20 Oxbridge Programme students to explore one of the world's leading universities! From touring the beautiful colleges and learning more about student life to soaking up the incredible atmosphere in the sunshine, it was an inspiring experience for everyone!

A special highlight? Our students even enjoyed free lunches at some of Oxford's colleges! 🍽️

We're excited to see where their ambitions take them next 💙
