Been unsure about adding a Tonies box to our playroom for a while. Thought it would sit gathering dust, but has got to be one of the best resources I have purchased.

Dancing, movement and music for those energetic moments.

Listening carefully to a story after lunch.

Relaxing lullabies for the little one's naps.

We love it and our rapidly growing collection of tonies.

Little ones napping, my all time favourite sensory play...goop, gloop, oobleck, cornflour/water whatever you want to call it it's amazing 👏 😍

Sensory play like this is incredibly language-rich. As we played, we introduced and repeated new vocabulary such as sticky, slippery, slimy, smooth, thick, runny, squash, squeeze, pour, scoop, drip, longer, short and splash.

Hearing these words in a meaningful, hands-on context helps children understand their meaning and begin to use them in their own conversations.

We have had lots of peas this year too. 🫛

Still waiting for our tomatoes to ripen 🍅

And not much success with the carrots, leeks and cucumber as we replanted them in 2 inches of soil 🤦🏼‍♀️

Still much better than most years, so will take that as a win. 🏆 😅
