Mantra Learning will be at Tomorrow’s Warehouse Manchester tomorrow!

Taking place at Emirates Old Trafford on 30 September, the event brings together warehousing and logistics professionals to explore the future of warehouse operations and the challenges facing the sector.

Skills shortages are part of that conversation, and helping people develop the skills employers need is at the heart of what we do.

We train nearly 1,000 learners across Greater Manchester to enter the warehousing sector and upskill in their existing roles. Our commercial warehouse training helps employers invest in their teams and equip staff with practical skills for the workplace.

We’re looking forward to meeting businesses and discussing how our training can support their workforce needs.

We’re looking forward to attending the Building Capacity to Build Oldham Supply Chain Event tomorrow, 29 September.

Hosted by Oldham Council and Willmott Dixon, the event brings local and regional businesses together for a practical session focused on building supply chain capacity and creating opportunities to win work within the construction industry.

Michelle Edwards, Construction Training Manager at Mantra Learning, will be attending to connect with local businesses at the event.

We’ll be there to help businesses and employers understand the government-funded training and learning opportunities available to them.

By connecting employers with the right skills, training and support, we can help ensure infrastructure delivery creates valuable skills, career opportunities and long-term benefits for the region.

Today is Youth Mental Health Day, and this year’s theme is .

At Mantra Learning, we help young people take their first steps into work and begin building a career.

We asked some of our automotive learners to share how they’re building their future. From gaining experience working in the automotive industry to staying focused on their goals, it was great to hear what’s important to them as they begin their careers.

We’re really proud of the effort our learners are putting in and the progress they’re already making, so we brought along some chocolates and sweet treats to celebrate. Well done to everyone who got involved! 👏

EVs & Hybrids Are Changing the Garage Industry. Is Your Team Ready? Training your technicians to work safely and confidently on EV and hybrid vehicles could unlock new revenue, attract more customers and future-proof your business.

B.I.Appleton made that investment and shared their experience of electric vehicle training with us. As the cars your customers drive change, the skills in your workshop need to keep up. Being able to look after those vehicles helps you keep serving the customers you already have, while making room for new EV and hybrid work.

A huge, good luck to our HGV Instructor, Carl, who set off earlier this week on his Skinflint Rally adventure!

As a former speedway rider, Carl is taking on the challenge alongside his best friend Nick and Speedway Rider Dan, all while raising money for the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund.

The team are taking on a 3-day journey from Folkestone to Nice, France, travelling in a car costing no more than £500!

And they’ve already made an incredible start, surpassing £11,000 in donations!

The Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund does incredible work supporting riders and their families who have been affected by serious injuries, long-term illness or accidents while racing.

Well done to everyone receiving their GCSE results today!

Results Day can bring lots of questions about what comes next, but there is no one route that is right for everyone.

For those looking for something more practical and hands-on, Pathway to Apprenticeship could be the right next step.

When Emma first joined Mantra Learning’s Pathway to Apprenticeship programme, she knew she wanted to explore a career in automotive and initially thought a Light Vehicle Apprenticeship was the route for her.

During her time at Mantra, Emma had the opportunity to explore her options and discovered that Heavy Vehicle was where she wanted to take her career.

Since completing Pathway, Emma has progressed onto a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Apprenticeship with a leading commercial vehicle specialist, where she is continuing to build her skills and experience.

Emma’s story shows that you do not always need to have everything figured out straight away. Pathway can give young people the opportunity to explore the industry, find the route that suits them and take that next step.

Wishing the very best of luck to everyone receiving their A Level results today!

For some young people, today will confirm exactly what comes next. For others, it might open a completely different route.

If you are a parent, carer, teacher or someone supporting a young person aged 16 to 18 who would thrive in a more practical, hands-on environment, our Automotive Pathway to Apprenticeship programme could be the next step they are looking for.

Pathway is about helping young people grow in confidence and feel more prepared for the world of work. They can develop their employability and practical automotive skills that will help set them up for their future career.

From there, they can take the next step towards an apprenticeship in the exciting, ever-changing automotive industry.

👏 A round of applause for our latest successes

Congratulations to Ayaan Iqbal and Bailey Armour on completing their Pathway to Apprenticeships programme. 🎉

After completing his work placement at Mercaid Manchester Ltd, Ayaan has secured employment and will enrol onto our Autocare Level 2 apprenticeship, starting in April.

Bailey completed his work placement at AW General Motors, where he has also secured employment and will enrol onto our Autocare Level 2 apprenticeship, starting in April.

⭐ Star of the Week ⭐

This week we’re recognising not one but two learners from our Autocare Level 2 Apprenticeship programme who have been making great progress in their learning journey.

👏 Lucas Wood, who is completing his apprenticeship at S Bolz, has shown a fantastic attitude towards learning. He engages well in class, supports his peers and consistently brings motivation to his work. His tutor has high hopes for his future.

👏 Charlie Linton, who is completing his apprenticeship at A1 Independent British 4x4 Specialists, is showing great progress both in the classroom and in the workplace. He continues to demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding and is always keen to keep developing his skills.
