Early Years at Armitage Primary

Wow what a day we had in Reception! We had so much fun on our beach day including a special interactive ‘trip to the beach’ show, a competitive game of ‘pin the fin on the shark’, yummy ice cream in the afternoon and then a big dance party and games in the sun! ☀️😀

Thank you to everybody who donated to our cake and hot chocolate fundraiser! EYFS raised just under £200 to buy resources for our outdoor area which is amazing! The children really enjoyed their cake and hot chocolate too! 😀

Reception have had so much fun today! They enjoyed a visit from Paramedic Nathan this morning as part of their ‘real life superhero’ topic and even got to see inside of the ambulance! They then had a fantastic Chinese New Year afternoon where they tried special food, fortune cookies, learnt a dragon dance and had a disco! 😀

The children enjoyed their trip to the book fair today! They all listened very carefully to Miss Hullah reading a story. If your child would like to buy a book, the book fair will take place on Wednesday 24th April at 15:35.

Reception are having a wonderful day to celebrate Eid! We’ve had a bounce on the bouncy castle, had our faces painted, enjoyed yummy burgers and cakes! Thank you for all of your food donations ❤️

Reception are having a lovely world book day! We went to the school assembly to watch a special performance involving a dragon and a knight! We’ve read our class story: “Whatever Next”. We have also had space themed activities in our provision, including: rocket writing, decorating glittery stars and carefully cutting out rockets to make a space scene! Thank you also to the parents for helping the children to create brilliant “book box creations”! We are looking forward to our space-themed snack this afternoon too!

Reception parents- please see the attached poster for information about our progress workshop! We will be sharing lots of information, resources and advice for how to support your child at home.

Reception have had such a fantastic morning with a visit from Paramedic Nathan! We were able to learn about how to put on a bandage, how to phone an ambulance, how paramedics make poorly people better and how to turn on sirens! The children said it was ‘awesome’! 😀
