Anatomy of cycling injuries, for a stronger recovery After he hit the deck hard, was knocked unconscious and spent four days in hospital in September 1969, discomfort became a constant companion of Eddy Merckx’s career. But what happened exactly after an injury and why some riders can't come and reach their former glory?

Natasha suffered a hip injury 15 months ago, when she first came to MIHP she couldn’t cycle or run at all. She thought she had slim chances of ever being able to race a triathlon again.
She has been on a rehab journey with us the last 12 months working with consultant Oli Williamson and has done bike fits with Phil Burt Innovation
“Between the two of them, not only have they got me back cycling and running, but I’ve got a new half marathon PB, and I’m racing my first triathlon, with a view to doing Ironman France in June. I couldn’t have done it without them”
We are so proud of how far you have come Natasha 🙌🏻🚴🏼♀️🏃🏻♀️

“Some injuries are easier to recover from than others,” says former British Cycling and Team Sky physiotherapist Phil Burt.
“When you have catastrophic injuries, your body almost has to learn a different way to work again.”
In Rouleur: ANATOMY OF CYCLING INJURIES, FOR A STRONGER RECOVERY
What exactly happens in our body when we’re injured? It’s time to delve deep into the structural, neurological and psychological repercussions.

Shocked and saddened to hear of Richard Moore’s passing.
He was a dear friend and, really, the only reason I’m a published author - such was his help and encouragement to get me started. Not that I have ever got near to his sublime level of writing.
I owe him so much.
But more importantly we have all lost a great voice of cycling, a great man, a friend who was always always there for you.
RIP Richard - we will really miss you.

STACK AND REACH: WHAT IT IS AND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT FOR CYCLISTS
"Nailing your cycling position is vital. Get it wrong and your performance will suffer. Get it right and PBs will be well within your sights. When considering ride position, stack and reach are two of the most important measurements."
Nik Cook ( 220 Triathlon Magazine ) spoke to Phil Burt to get his input on these two important measurements in bike fit: https://www.220triathlon.com/training/bike-training/stack-and-reach-what-it-is-and-why-its-important-for-cyclists/
