St John's Centre Old Trafford St. John's Centre is a not-for-profit community centre - at the heart of Old Trafford since 1982.

St John's centre is a community centre in Old Trafford, Monday to Friday; we offer adult education courses throughout the day. During the evenings, we have various community groups running activities for adults and children. We have a wonderful hall - that can be hired out at weekends for parties and celebrations.

There's still time to apply to be our new Volunteer Coordinator!

We are looking for someone to help our centre and the wider Old Trafford community create meaningful volunteering opportunities, enabling people to share their skills, build confidence, develop new experiences, and play an active part in making our community the best it can be.

If you have the skills, enthusiasm, and passion for supporting volunteers, and would like to join our friendly and supportive staff team, we would love to hear from you.

The solar panels on our church roof have been working overtime this year, making lots of ££ for St John's Sunshine to give out as community grants.

Last year, we awarded a grant to the Old Trafford Community Orchard to refurbish their bench. Its creator FernieTure has given it a makeover and now it's looking great!

There will be another round of Sunshine Grants in 2027 - keep an eye on our website for an announcement.
