Hi all ❤🧡

Welcome to the Management Society at The University of Manchester. We are the largest society at AMBS. At ManSoc, we aim to improve employability by connecting students with prospective employers. In the process, allowing students to learn about the roles and what its like working for their desired companies. Moreover, we also host series of social events throughout the year. These events are the perfect opportunity for members to connect with each other. We hope that this gives you a brief idea of our goal as a society.

We are still in the process of setting up our sign-up system, but we should have that up very soon. Unlike previous years, it will be completely free to become a ManSoc member. We want ManSoc to really be accessible to everyone and aim to help everyone as much as possible.

For the meantime, we are on both Facebook (University of Manchester Management Society) and Instagram (mansoc_uom) so come engage with us. If there’s anything that we can help you with, please contact us on our social media platforms.

Calling all AMBS students to give feedback on what they might want from the Careers Service.

University Careers Service – Have your say!
Tuesday 13th March, 12.30 – 2.30pm

We are running workshops in March to help us better understand your career needs and expectations, and how we might improve the services we offer to AMBS students. We’d like to know about your thoughts, ideas and experience of the Careers Service so we can develop services that work for you, and also help you to get the future you want.

Whilst c.80% of graduate level roles or further study courses don’t require a specific degree subject, we appreciate that this represents a vast amount of choice. We want to help you be more aware of what career opportunities you have, and evolve our services to fit what you really need.

Free food and drink will be provided at the workshops as a thank you for your time. Added to this, students who attend three workshops during their time at university will have their contributions acknowledged on their Higher Achievement Record (HEAR).

So if you want to make a difference and are interested in taking part RSVP to [email protected] so that we know you want to attend and can send you further information.

The L’Oreal networking Event for 1st and 2nd Years today has been cancelled due to the weather!

This will be rescheduled for April, we will post more details nearer the time 😊
