Kim and all the staff at Nursery In The Park are delighted to announce that all our continual hard work and dedication to the children who we care for has been acknowledged!

Professionals from Rodney House, The Speech and Language Team (S.A.L.T) along with the Greater Manchester Combined Authorities have awarded us not one, but two fabulous accolades.

This is in recognition of "Demonstrating High Quality Communication and Language Support" and also " Providing High Quality Inclusive Early Years Practice".
We are extremely proud of this achievement!

This money will be donated to Wood Street Mission and will help families across Manchester and Salford!
If you are in need of some help with school uniform, come and have a chat with us in the office, Wood Street Mission still have some left to give!

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to our 10 year anniversary party the other weekend!

What a beautiful day it was! It was a joy to see old faces and new. The sun shone and the food quickly disappereared thanks to LES the baker MCR and their delicious buffet!

We thank all of our staff members (past and present) for helping out on the day and continuing to make Nursery in the Park a space for growth, fun and happiness!

Kim and Sally opened the doors 10 years ago, they started out with just 7 children! Here are some words from them:

Sally - "It was lovely to see past children and staff at the party, reminicing about their time at nursery. Thank you to everyone that celeberated with us, here's to another 10 years!"

Kim - "We are very grateful for the opportunity to help shape the lives of so many children in Gorton over the last 10 years. During this time, we have grown from just 7 children to the 100s of children we have been able to nurture and watch grow. Partnerships with parents is crucial to providing the best service for our children and their families and so, it is lovely to see siblings, cousins and friends continuing to bring their children to us and recommend our nursery to other families. We remain as committed as always to providing the best early years’ experience to the children and families of Gorton and Manchester."

RAFFLE ALERT:

We are proudly supporting Wood Street Mission in the charity raffle. Wood Street Mission is a children’s charity helping children and families living on a low income in Manchester and Salford.

Tickets will be on sale until the 12th of July. A strip of 5 tickets is £1. To buy a strip ask any of our staff members.

Thank you preschool for making this beautiful bee wind chime in rememberance. It will be placed above our bee in the garden.

Thank you to Toddlers for making this beautiful hanging basket with, soon to be, beautiful flowers that the bees will love!

There will be a minutes silence at 22:31.

Today marks 7 years since 22 lives were taken.
Today we remember the victims, and all those affected.
We stand together Manchester!

Thank you to our toddlers for helping plant this beautiful array of flowers in our upcycled planter!

The violas were brought in by a staff member and the marigold in the middle was given to us by a parent, so a big thank you to both of you!

Hopefully the bees will love this 🌸🐝

A fun day out!

To celebrate moving to our new home, we are hosting a very special Bug Identification workshop with Matt Holker. If you have ever been to any of our Bug ID sessions or Bat Walks before, you will have met Matt and we are so excited to have him coming back to the Nature Centre once again.
This is a free session, but as always, we really do appreciate your donations.
