We had such a lovely morning walking around Moses Gate today! ❤️❤️❤️ the children are fascinated by the world around them, and learning about nature and wildlife - giving them the opportunity to explore from a young age too! Lots and lots of fun!

Our new autumn table for the littles to explore - building on one of the baby’s interest in an enclosing schema (putting things in boxes etc) and also building on another little one’s knowledge of number. Lots of maths investigation building on shape, space and measure with a traditional weighing scale 🙂 can’t wait to see what the littles do with this!

New nature table set up ready for a new week of learning and curiosity for the children! We collected conkers and leaves whilst out on our adventures last week and I’ve added them to the table 🙂

It’s the first day of autumn today, so I set up a lovely little “baby friendly” autumn tray for the littles to explore! It was throughly enjoyed by all, and lots of interest in the new nature objects!!

We’ll be adding more and more to our nature resources over the coming weeks as we adventure on our trips out!

At The Curiosity Approach we are inspired by Emmi Pikler. (1902-1984)

Emmi Pikler was a pediatrician who founded the Pikler Institute in Budapest, Hungary

In line with her teachings and years of research, at our Curiosity Approach settings our babies are not propped up, or put into positions they cannot get into or out of themselves.

We don’t use baby reclining chairs or exersaucers ( baby walkers, bouncers) bumbo seats etc

We believe in giving babies the time and space to come up into standing through their own self initiated efforts and the natural unfolding of development.

As it’s September and we have spaces available - we are looking for other pre school children to join our wonderful, crazy, home from home family!

Where did the last six weeks go?? We have had so many adventures and lots and lots of fun! The weeks have just flown by and I cannot believe we are now in September!

We are losing three of our littles to start their big journey into school, but these three littles will do amazing, and do everyone proud! Luckily we get the pleasure of seeing two of them during holidays!

I really do wish them all so much luck!!! We love you all!
