Yesterday, our Preschool and Holiday Club children enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester! 🏙️✨

The adventure started before we even arrived, as the children were super excited to travel into Manchester on the train! 🚆 They loved looking out of the windows, spotting different things along the way and chatting about where we were going.

Once at the museum, the children had a brilliant time exploring, discovering and learning all about science, technology and how things work through lots of exciting hands-on experiences. 🔬⚙️💡

We were so proud of how well all of the children behaved throughout the day – they were fantastic little explorers and certainly made some lovely memories together! 🥰

🐛🌳 Our Little Explorers! 🌳🐛

On Monday, our Bean Sprouts enjoyed a lovely trip out to the park for some fresh air, exploring and outdoor fun! 💚🌿

But the adventure didn’t stop there… our babies then got the chance to meet some creepy crawlies! 🐛🪲🕷️ There were lots of curious little faces as they got up close to some unusual creatures, with our practitioners there to help them feel safe and confident while they explored.

Experiences like this are a fantastic way for our babies to discover the world around them, experience new sights and textures, build confidence and develop their natural curiosity. 🌎✨

Our 2–3 year olds have been on an exciting space adventure this morning! 🌍🪐🌙

The children enjoyed exploring our space-themed sensory tray, discovering rockets, astronauts, stars and different planets hidden amongst the black rice. 👩‍🚀🚀⭐

This activity was a lovely way to encourage imaginative play, sensory exploration and communication, as the children talked about what they could see, named the planets and pretended to blast their rockets off into space! 🚀✨

✨🧖‍♀️ Self-Care Morning in Our Toddler Room! 🧖‍♂️✨

What a wonderfully relaxing morning our toddlers have enjoyed today! 💚

The children took part in their very own spa experience, enjoying soothing face masks (natural yogurt), refreshing cucumber slices, gentle foot spas and calming hand and foot massages. 🥒🫧💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

This fun activity wasn't just about pampering – it encouraged the children to explore different textures and sensations, supported their personal, social and emotional development, promoted body awareness, and gave them the opportunity to relax and unwind in a calm environment.

The biggest surprise of the morning... even our Manager couldn't resist joining in for a cheeky pamper session! 😂💚 The children absolutely loved giving their grown-ups a relaxing spa treatment and had lots of giggles along the way.

A lovely morning full of smiles, laughter, relaxation and special moments together. 🌿✨

🧡 Yesterday in our Baby Room we had lots of fun exploring and investigating with spaghetti and kitchen utensils! 🍝✨

Our little learners enjoyed carefully threading the spaghetti through the holes in colanders, pots and pans, using their concentration and problem-solving skills to work out where each piece would fit.

This simple activity supported so many areas of development, including:
🌟 Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
🌟 Concentration and perseverance
🌟 Early problem-solving and critical thinking
🌟 Sensory exploration through different textures and materials

The babies were fascinated as they explored, experimented and discovered different ways to use the resources. Activities like these encourage curiosity, creativity and independent learning through play – all while having lots of fun! 💛

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone… 9 amazing years of Little Sprouts Day Nursery! 🥳🎂💚

Over the past 9 years, we have had the absolute privilege of caring for so many wonderful children and watching them learn, grow and flourish. From first steps and first words to starting big school, we have shared so many precious moments and made countless memories along the way. 🥹🌱

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible families, past and present, for trusting us with your little ones and for being part of our Little Sprouts family. 💚

And, of course, a massive thank you to our wonderful team, past and present, whose hard work, care and dedication have helped make Little Sprouts what it is today. 🥰

🎨✨ Little hands, big creativity! ✨🎨

This morning, our babies had lots of fun getting creative and decorating their own biscuits! 🍪❤️ They explored different textures as they spread the icing and carefully added their sprinkles, giving them plenty of opportunities to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and independence.

Activities like this also encourage sensory exploration, concentration and creativity, while giving our little ones the chance to make their own choices and, of course, enjoy their yummy creations afterwards! 😋🥰

👹🎨 Creating our very own monsters! 🎨👹

This morning after breakfast our toddlers had lots of fun using playdough, flour and a variety of creative resources to design and create their very own monsters! 👾✨

The children used their imaginations to decide what their monsters would look like, adding different features and exploring the materials by squashing, squeezing, poking, rolling and moulding the playdough. 👐

This fun, hands-on activity supported the children’s creativity and imagination, while also helping to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and sensory exploration. It was wonderful to see all the different monster creations come to life! 💚🥰

Who knew monsters could be so much fun?! 👹💚✨

🌟 Learning Through Play in Preschool! 🌟
Our preschool children have had a fantastic time exploring two exciting tuff tray activities yesterday ! 💙❤️
They became imaginative explorers in our dinosaur small world, creating their own prehistoric adventures using dinosaurs, natural resources and water. This encouraged storytelling, language development, problem-solving and cooperative play as they worked together and brought their ideas to life. 🦖🌿
They also enjoyed getting creative with our colourful sensory potion-making tray, where they mixed, poured, scooped and stirred using a variety of bowls, spoons, whisks and measuring cups. This hands-on activity supported fine motor development, hand-eye coordination and introduced early mathematical concepts such as full, empty, more and less, while encouraging curiosity and scientific thinking. 🥣✨
