Join us at The Bridgewater shall for a recital by accordionist Sofía Ros.

This special programme explores the expressive possibilities of the accordion through works by Albéniz, Scarlatti, Granados and Vyacheslav Semionov, bringing together Spanish musical heritage and contemporary repertoire in a vibrant and personal performance.

Instituto Cervantes Manchester continues its programme to promote reading among children with a special World Book Day session dedicated to Federico García Lorca, one of the most beloved and influential poets in the Spanish-speaking world.

Through storytelling, children will discover Lorca’s joyful personality, extraordinary creativity, and imaginative world of poetry, theatre, music and drawing. To celebrate his love of flamenco, the session will also include a flamenco dance workshop led by dancer and teacher Christine Medows.

If you’re a B1 student, come and practise your Spanish in a friendly and relaxed environment at the Instituto Cervantes Library in Manchester.

Led by Ana Palacios and Sergio Flórez, each session explores different aspects of Hispanic cultures and societies through conversation tailored to your level.

For our April session, we will celebrate International Book Day 2026 by talking about books that have inspired us, taught us, entertained us, or hold a special meaning for us.
