Next Tuesday and Wednesday, director Celia Rico will be visiting Newcastle and Manchester to present her film, La buena letra (2025).

After the screening Celia Rico will be joined by Professor Santiago Fouz (University of Durham) to discuss the key themes and nuances of the film.

Instituto Cervantes Manchester continues its programme to promote reading among children with a special World Book Day session dedicated to Federico García Lorca, one of the most beloved and influential poets in the Spanish-speaking world.

Through storytelling, children will discover Lorca’s joyful personality, extraordinary creativity, and imaginative world of poetry, theatre, music and drawing. To celebrate his love of flamenco, the session will also include a flamenco dance workshop led by dancer and teacher Christine Medows.
