Omega 3 🥚🐟
One of the best things for yours and your pets skin skin, is omega 3. Among many other health benefits, omega 3 helps your skin to retain moisture, elasticity and reduce fine lines and inflammation. It prevents dry, flaky skin and can even decrease psoriasis and eczema outbreaks especially as part of an anti inflammatory "diet".
Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for the skin, hair, heart, brain, cell membranes and the immune system. They can also reduce asthma symptoms and are beneficial in supporting people/pets with autoimmune diseases.
Natural omega 3 food sources:
- Fish (Salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring and tuna are the richest sources)
- Bone broth
- Eggs
- Real Butter (not "spread") (grass fed butter = higher amounts of omega 3)
- Seeds & nuts (Chia, flax, walnuts)
- Vegetables (Leafy veg & brussel sprouts)
One of my favorites - Garlic butter salmon with new potatoes and vegetables.
COOK TIME: 20-25 mins! Quick and easy - potatoes don't need prepping, veg dependant on fresh or frozen, both perfectly fine options.
- Fry 2 finely chopped medium- large garlic cloves in proper butter.
- Add salmon after roughly 30 seconds on medium heat, season with a pinch of sea salt, pepper and herbs of your choice.
- As the salmon fries, add small amounts of double cream for a thicker sauce or small amounts of milk for a thinner sauce.
- Cook potatoes and veg as instructions state
- Plate the salmon, veg and potatoes and then poke over your sauce.
Done!
(I like to break potatoes open before pouring the sauce on so the flavour can be soaked up by the potato)
My favourite things to add to my pets food are:
- Sardines in water
- Raw eggs
- Bone broth
It is recommended that both pets and people consume a good amount per week, variety is always best but if you can't for any reason, don't worry. People should aim for 2-3 rich servings per week with small amounts in-between (butter, seeds, nuts, veg, eggs).
And pets, approx every other meal should have a rich source, or if you feed raw or homemade just add the eggs and sardines directly to their batches before portioning, and they'll receive a good amount each day) the recommended serving is approx 1 tin and 1 egg to 1kg of balanced food. You can even add bone broth to your batches for an extra boost.

Just under 1 year ago I never would've thought I'd be getting back into reading books just through diet 😂
But this arrived today after hearing everyone in the reducing upfs group speak about it. It's turned into some form of nutrition Bible it seems so I'm giving it a read 📖

Thank you for the toothpaste, it's very refreshing, does not taste sweet or overly minty like most low quality toothpaste. Just right 👍
Extremely happy with the ingredients they seem much better than most low quality ones I now feel much better knowing iv further reduced the rubbish additives and ingredients I used to consume and use. Along with a clean diet, this is definitely one of the biggest changes iv made... Remember your mouth absorbs things too, so making sure you have a natural toothpaste is essential!
