🏏 HISTORIC WIN FOR CMA! 🏏

For the first time ever, CMA has defeated the cup holders, Manchester Grammar School, in a huge statement victory! 💥

Batting first, CMA posted 98 runs with contributions all through the order. Every player chipped in with valuable 20s and 30s, with standout performances from Ibrahim and Mohammed Ali, who remained not out to guide the innings.

CMA then started brilliantly with the ball, taking 2 early wickets to put MGS under pressure from the start. Sadaqah and Asad were outstanding, both claiming 4 wickets each in a dominant bowling display. 🎯

Man of the Match goes to Asad for his incredible all-round impact! 👏

With just one game separating the team from the semi-finals, this squad is looking stronger than ever. 💪🔥

Yesterday, we took over 50 of our Drama pupils to the Bolton Octagon Theatre to watch Teechers - 'a funny, fast moving, hard hitting account of life at Whitewall Academy'. 💚

Our Year 10 cricket team kicked off the season in style with a thrilling 11-run victory in the opening round of the MCR Schools Cup.

The match saw a historic moment for CMA as Abdul produced an outstanding all-round performance, scoring an unbeaten 36* before taking the school’s first-ever cricket hat-trick! 👏🔥

Strong batting contributions also came from Abubaker (34) and Ali (28), helping the team post a competitive total.

With the ball, Ibraheem and Ahmed kept things tight under pressure, playing a key role in defending the score during a tense finish.

A fantastic team performance from all involved and the boys now progress to the quarterfinals of the MCR Schools Cup! 💪🏆

In March, Year 9 and 10 students from Cedar Mount competed in DebateMate events across Manchester. They won 4 of 6 debates in Urban Debate League Round 2, showing strong progress. At the Debate Mate Cup at the University of Manchester, they performed even better, winning most debates and finishing 3rd and 4th, just missing the final. Students showed great passion, teamwork and integrity—well done to all who took part! 💚
