We were honoured to celebrate more than 900 apprentices graduating from their undergraduate and master's degree apprenticeship programmes at Manchester Metropolitan University on Thursday 16 July, at the Bridgewater Hall.

Representing employers from a diverse range of industries and sectors, from SMEs to multinational organisations, our apprentices showcased the impact, strength and diversity of workplace learning.

Meet Melissa Carrington, a Community Nursing Specialist (District Nursing) Degree Apprentice at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.

Melissa has progressed from community carer to district nurse through the apprenticeship route, building the skills and confidence to lead the care of complex patients and support colleagues across her team.

As part of her apprenticeship, Melissa developed a frailty prevention project to support the health and wellbeing of NHS staff and patients, demonstrating the real-world impact of workplace learning.
