Huge congratulations to Josh, our fabulous apprentice at Kidzrus Nursery, Irlam who has won our Core Values Award. .

Josh shows great enthusiasm and professionalism daily, he works hard within our toddler room to ensure all children have equal opportunities and thrive within our environments.

Josh is completing his level 3 childcare qualification and his confidence is growing daily, we are so proud of him!

💚Toddlers Forest School Chicken Yoga 🌳 🐓 🧘 🧘‍♂️

💚Forest School Toddlers at the moment really love going outside and seeing the chickens, so we are currently doing a display board around chickens. Following on from our activity this morning making our own chickens for the display board, Cara set up a chicken yoga activity in the garden this afternoon with a few of our chicken residents. We enjoyed the lovely sunshine and the calming relaxing music while we did a quick warmup before doing a few yoga positions that included the tree pose, the crescent moon pose, the downward dog pose, lotus pose, child’s pose and the squat pose. We said ‘hello’ to our chickens and gave them a stroke while they also joined in with yoga and had a lie down during our child’s pose. We had a fabulous afternoon and feeling very relaxed now. Well done toddlers 💚👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Kidzrus Forest School - Nature Walk and Outdoor Exploration 🌿
Preschool enjoyed taking part in a nature 🌿 walk to the park with their peers. They were keen to explore the outdoor environment and took their time noticing the changes taking place around them. Preschool observed that some of the leaves on the trees were starting to change colour from green to orange, and they even found some red ones. They enjoyed comparing the different leaves 🍃🌿🍁 that they came across.
As they walked, Preschool noticed the leaves scattered across the ground. They walked over them and immediately reacted to the sounds they made under their feet. Preschool commented, “it’s making a noise” and “Crunch, crunch, crunch.” They continued to explore the crunchy leaves, showing an interest in how they felt and sounded.
Preschool were excited when they discovered some small bugs along their walk. They crouched down to get a closer look and Indy said, “I found a little bug!” They watched carefully as the ladybird moved and were interested in finding out what type of bug it was, asking, “What is it?” Preschool joined in with identifying different types of leaves and were able to recognise some of the leaves growing on the trees from what they had learnt during their trips to the forest.
Before heading back to nursery, Preschool enjoyed playing in the park. They worked together to push each other on the roundabout, took part in an obstacle course and joined in with a game called “Tree, Acorn, Leaf”. 🌳🌿🍁🍃
