🏃‍✨ The Manchester Marathon is taking place this Sunday 19 April, with the finish line located on Oxford Road. Please be aware that several road closures will be in place, which may affect access to the Library and Manchester Poetry Library. If you’re planning a visit, we recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey.

The Library building will be open 24 hours a day this Easter Bank Holiday, but the Library Help Point, Reception and Online Chat will close from 7pm tomorrow (Thursday 2 April), reopening at 9am on Tuesday 7 April. Our social media channels will also close tomorrow at 5pm and reopen on Tuesday 7 April at 9am.

It was our pleasure to host the students here at the Library!

Our A Level Religious Studies students visited Manchester Metropolitan University for a Religious Studies experience day with Mr Aston.

Students visited the City of Manchester, spent time in a lecture and seminar discussing Natural Moral Law, toured the University campus and heard about the importance of reading at higher education during a visit to the Library (students were also very grateful for the tote bag gift!).

A huge thank you once again to MMU for your hospitality and efforts in putting together this day. This was a great exposure for our Y12 and 13 students to higher education and supported revision on a crucial part our A level course.
