Finding the right childcare is essential to giving your child the best possible academic and social start in life, and this is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Grow Happy was born to offer more than just a standard childcare service; we value every child that passes through our doors and we do not take lightly our task of keeping them entertained, keeping them safe, encouraging them to

Some days, early childhood is all about helping tiny humans navigate very big feelingsโ€ฆ
often while holding the wrong color cup. ๐Ÿ˜‚

But hereโ€™s the truth: big feelings are not bad behavior. They are communication.

Our job is to stay calm, guide gently, set boundaries, and help children build the skills they are still learning.

Also, occasionally, to locate the exact snack bowl they had in mind!!

They donโ€™t just grow taller here. ๐Ÿ’›

They grow braver.
They grow kinder.
They grow more independent.
They grow more curious.
They grow more confident using their words.
They grow more willing to try.
Sometimes growth looks like writing a name.
Sometimes it looks like saying, โ€œCan I have a turn?โ€
Sometimes it looks like walking into class without tears.
Sometimes it looks like zipping a coat after weeks of trying.
Every milestone matters.
And we are so lucky to witness them.
What is one way your child has grown this year?

One of the most beautiful things about working with children is seeing growth happen in real time.
Sometimes it shows up in a big milestone.

Sometimes it shows up in something small โ€” a new word, a brave choice, a kind moment, a little burst of independence.

These moments can pass quickly if weโ€™re not paying attention, but they are often where the magic lives.
Children are learning all the time, even in ways we donโ€™t always expect.

We have had a fun-filled morning in the caterpillar room! ๐Ÿž๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ๐ŸŒธ

This morning, the children used their bug detective skills to uncover hidden insects in the sand. They loved using paint brushes to carefully brush away the sand and discover what bugs were hiding underneath! ๐Ÿ”โœจ

We also incorporated some of our favourite songs into the activity, including Incy Wincy Spider and Thereโ€™s a Worm at the Bottom of the Garden ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ›

To finish our morning, the children enjoyed creating their very own flower gardens, recognising colours as they built and designed their beautiful flowers. ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒˆ

๐Ÿฆ‹ Butterfly Room โ€“ Last Week โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ’™

Last week in Butterfly Room our theme was Travel & Transport ๐Ÿš—โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿšข alongside Mental Health Awareness Week ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ˜Š

The children enjoyed taking part in exciting airport role play ๐Ÿงณ๐Ÿ›ซ. We talked about whether we had ever been on an aeroplane before and shared our experiences with our friends ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ. The children made their very own passports ๐Ÿ“˜, bought tickets ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ to board the plane and looked out of the โ€œairplane windowsโ€ to talk about what they might see from up high in the sky โ˜๏ธ๐ŸŒ.

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week ๐Ÿ’š, we explored different emotions and talked about our feelings ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿฅฐ. We discussed what makes us feel happy, sad and excited and encouraged the children to express themselves and listen to others โค๏ธ.

On Friday, we celebrated International Day of Families ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ by creating our own beautiful family trees ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’•. The children loved talking about the special people in their families and sharing who is important to them.

Today we have been recognising and matching simple and complex shapes ๐Ÿ”บ๐ŸŸฆโญ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ท The children enjoyed exploring different shapes through fun hands-on activities and conversations. ๐Ÿ˜Š

We also engaged in some risky play using a saw ๐Ÿชš and a drill ๐Ÿ”ฉ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ The children carefully watched a staff member demonstrate how to safely use the tools before having the opportunity to try using the saw or drill themselves with close guidance and supervision. ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

What makes a childcare program feel different?

Itโ€™s not just the schedule.
Itโ€™s not just the classroom setup.
Itโ€™s not just the activities.
Itโ€™s the feeling families get when they walk in.
Itโ€™s the way children are spoken to.
Itโ€™s the patience, the warmth, the consistency, and the care behind every part of the day.

We believe childcare should feel safe, joyful, and deeply supportive for both children and families.

Thatโ€™s what we aim to create every single day.

๐Ÿฆ‹ Butterfly Room ๐Ÿฆ‹

Weโ€™ve been busy little explorers! ๐Ÿž๐Ÿ” We went on a mini beast hunt, discovering all sorts of tiny creatures, and enjoyed some colour-by-number mini beast activities ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿ›.

Weโ€™ve also been focusing on recognising our names, shapes, and numbers ๐Ÿ”ค๐Ÿ”บ๐Ÿ”ข, using fun and engaging ways like the interactive whiteboard ๐Ÿ’ป, paint ๐ŸŽจ, and sand ๐Ÿ–๏ธ to bring our learning to life.

The sunshine made it perfect for outdoor fun โ˜€๏ธ โ€“ we loved playing in the sand and water ๐Ÿ’ฆ, and had lots of fun playing Duck Duck Goose ๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿ˜„.

What a lovely, active and creative week itโ€™s been! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ
