Big upgrade for our S6 Suite! 🎛️

We've teamed up with Exigy to install and fine-tune our new 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos monitoring system, carefully calibrated to the room for accurate mix translation. 🖥️

Dolby Atmos is an immersive spatial sound technology that lets creators place sounds, as objects, in a three-dimensional space. With four speakers on the ceiling, we can position and move sound around the listener for a truly immersive listening experience. 🔊

The setup is paired with our 24-channel Avid S6 control surface, an industry-standard console used in post-production studios worldwide. 🎚️

Exigy monitors are also trusted by legendary recording studios around the world, including The Hit Factory New York, Red Bull Music Studios Los Angeles and Real World Studios UK.🎙️

Come check out the new setup at our next Open Day on Saturday, 7 November. Book now - link in bio. 🔗

Gear Spotlight 🎚

In recognition of DJ Mag naming the world's number 1 DJ for 2026 today, we thought we'd show off our impressive DJ Booths. 🎛️

Our Allen and Heath Booth is based around the legendary Xone:92 analogue DJ mixer, along with two Technics 1210 MK5 turntables and three AlphaTheta/Pioneer CDJs. 💿

Our Pioneer Booth replicates club-standard conditions with a DJM-900NXS2 mixer and four CDJs: 2x CDJ-3000X and 2x CDJ-2000NXS2. 🎧

Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro switchers and GoPro cameras have been permanently installed into both booths to facilitate audio and video recordings of your sets, and Ableton Live Suite is available on the Macbook Pros for playback of any audio and the recording of audio-only sets. 🔴

Come and check them out at our next Undergraduate Open Day, Saturday November 7! Book now - link in bio 🔗
