What a fantastic first week back we’ve all had!

On Monday, we gathered around the table and drew pictures of our holidays, sharing the exciting adventures and memories we made over the break☺️

Tuesday, the children enjoyed decorating delicious biscuits, getting creative with colours and toppings🍪

Wednesday, we made bracelets and necklaces, which is always one of the children's favourite activities. There were some wonderful creations!

Thursday was our Fun Night and the children chose just dance on the Nintendo Wii. Everyone had a great time showing off their moves and challenging each other. Our dance superstar was Albie!🕺🏻🕺🏻

Friday, as the weather brightening up, we made the most of it by spending the evening playing outside and enjoying the sunshine☀️

Our star of the week was Penny for being such a lovely friend and always thinking of others!

⭐️⚽️ St John’s ⚽️⭐️

This week has been all about the World Cup, getting the children excited for the opening games and all the football fun ahead!

We spent time learning about the different teams taking part and sharing our predictions for some of the upcoming matches. The children loved discussing who they think will win, who might take home the Golden Boot, and which teams could be the surprise packages of the tournament.

As part of our activities, the children:
⚽ Made their own footballs and added their predictions.
👕 Designed their own football shirts, showing fantastic creativity and attention to detail.
📸 Created personalised football cards featuring themselves as the stars.
🚩 Enjoyed a calm and creative afternoon making flags from countries competing in the World Cup.

The children have thoroughly enjoyed all the football-themed discussions, crafts, and activities this week, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and imagination shine through.

What a fun 1st week back we have had at club this week, it’s been lovely to see all the kids refreshed and ready to go. As you can see we have been very busy and enjoyed outdoor play, cheer leading ☺️ yoga and gymnastics, painting and we tried a new game where each child had to draw on their friends back and they had to copy how it felt, the children loved this game and have asked to do it again 💙 we have had some new starters who have settled in amazingly well and we would like to welcome Aniya to our club for this term, who has also settled in great. We started doing summer activities this week..We started by making and designing our own ice Lolly pops

We also spoke about what we did in the 2 week holidays lots of exciting days out and activities you have all done ..

what a lovely first week back we have had here we started of at the beginning of the week discussing all the fun adventures we have had over the past 2 weeks it was lovely to hear everyone’s activities throughout the rest of the week we have been focusing on the World Cup and have done a range of activities around football ⚽️ we created our own football strip pictures we had team football games and each child has picked a team participating in the World Cup and who ever wins the World Cup the child who picked the winning team will win a prize 🏆 to finish of the end of the week we have been enjoying playing with our friends 😊
🏅 well done to our star of the week Joseph for being kind, polite and helping peers🏅( sorry for lack of pictures we have been having so much fun) have a lovely weekend and we shall see you next week

🌟 Holiday Club – Final Day! 🌟

Wow, what an amazing two weeks it has been! The time has absolutely flown by, and we’ve packed so much fun, learning, and laughter into our holiday club. 😊

On our final day, we started by making a delicious and healthy couscous dish. The children helped chop vegetables, de-seed peppers, and add lots of colourful, nutritious ingredients. They did a fantastic job and loved seeing all the bright colours come together! 🥕🫑🍅

Next, we put on our chef hats and played a fun game of “What’s in the Bag?” We pulled out different food items and ingredients and worked together to figure out what meals and recipes we could create. It was great to see the children’s imagination and knowledge shine through! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Throughout the day, we also enjoyed some friendly competition with games of Tin Can Alley, Pool, and Air Hockey. 🎯🏒

When the sunshine finally made an appearance, we headed outside for some fresh air, exercise, and plenty of fun with friends. ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

To finish our holiday club, we planted our very own herbs. The children were full of questions and showed lots of interest in learning about the different herbs, what they are used for, and how to care for them. 🌱💚

🌟 💙Day 4 of our holiday club and what a fantastic day we had! 🌟💙
Today was all about cooking and baking fun! 🍕👩‍🍳
The children became little chefs as they created their very own pizzas, choosing from lots of tasty ingredients and making each one unique.
We also got busy baking delicious banana and sultana scones, along with some yummy biscuits. Everyone loved rolling, mixing, cutting, and of course seeing (and tasting!) the amazing results! 🍪🍌✨
All of the children took home their tasty creations, and we hope you enjoyed them as much as they enjoyed making them!

💙☀️ Holiday club Day 3 💙☀️
Today we had a fantastic day full of fun, learning, and creativity! The children enjoyed making their own fruit kebabs while talking about the different fruits and the wide variety available.
We spent lots of time outdoors making the most of the sunshine, where everyone had great fun playing games together, including a food guessing game that encouraged curiosity and discussion.

The children also became little scientists as they created their own "super potions" using a selection of everyday ingredients that can be found in the kitchen.
There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and imaginative ideas throughout the day, making it another enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.

Holiday Club – Week 2, Day 2 🌟

What a fantastic day we’ve had at Holiday Club today!

This morning, the children got busy in the kitchen making cheesy potato boats. We cooked jacket potatoes, scooped out the fluffy potato, and mixed it with cheese and butter to create a delicious, creamy mash. The children then transformed their creations into boats by adding sails – they looked amazing! ⛵🧀🥔

We also enjoyed plenty of fresh air and outdoor team games, with lots of fun, laughter, and teamwork throughout the morning. ☀️🌳

After lunch, the children became very creative, designing and making their own delicious mocktails. They used a variety of ingredients and decorated them with fancy straws and stirrers, creating some wonderful and colourful drinks. 🍹✨

To finish the day, the children designed their own restaurant menus before bringing them to life through role play in our café area. They took turns being customers and restaurant staff, encouraging communication, creativity, and imaginative play. 🍽️📋

Thank you to all the children for another lovely day full of fun, creativity, and learning. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 😊💙
