Relaxed, fun, & friendly monthly blues dance social in Manchester. Each event starts with a beginner- Welcome to Manchester's blues dance scene!

Join our friendly scene to enjoy blues music and dancing. Our monthly social dance starts with a 1hr beginner-friendly taster class, followed by 2 hours of fantastic blues music and social dancing.

Heidi Fite and Dexter Santos will be visiting Manchester on their 2026 European tour!

They will be teaching a workshop on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July in Stockport and Manchester.

Less thank two weeks to go!

Mike Murphy 's addiction with blues began in 2014 and has led him all over Europe in a thirst to learn more. He founded a blues scene in Cork, where he has taught locally over the last 10 years. On the international side, he has done a bit of everything – teacher, DJ, festival organiser. Whilst he has reached competition finals, he enjoys social dancing over competing or performance.

On the dancefloor, Mike believes that meaningful connection is a must: - the best dances are those in which both synchronisation as a couple, and individual expression, can co-exist in harmony. He values partners who bring creativity, fun and their own personal style to the partnership.

With a qualification in education as a base, he also regularly attends dance teacher trainings. Mike prefers a relaxed, fun and encouraging teaching environment, where everyone can learn at their own pace. A believer that visualisations help to embed an idea, expect a few silly but fun elements in his classes.
