It was such a privilege to have the opportunity to be part of the opening of the new seating area in Old Moat Park yesterday. We were joined by three groups of fabulous primary school children from different local schools. I did two stories one about a plastic bag called Stanley and the other about a very tidy badger called Pete ❤️

Thanks to and for the funding, for the books, Baths for the loan of the gazebos and tables, for the fruit and MCRparks for ranger support. And special thanks to the , volunteers and for helping out during the sessions. And finally to the fabulous for giving me the opportunity 😊. I love our community and our wonderful parks 🌳and Withington Library for providing a change of venue when the downpour hit ☔️

Mary is such a gorgeous presence. Seeing her on a Wednesday always brightens my day. I met her daughter a few weeks ago and she was telling me that she used to work as a primary school teacher. She is always mesmerised by the children and today she broke into song and remembered all the words to Old Macdonald - what a joy to see ❤️. Next terms classes are now available to book Mondays at 11.15am in Sale and Wednesdays at 11am in West Didsbury.

And that’s a wrap for my first full term working for What a wonderful and rewarding experience it’s been. Ending perfectly on Monday with a beautiful interaction with Stanley. He usually prefers to watch from a distance but this week when a toddler handed him a shaker - he was fully on board. He was keen to confirm who had made Sing a Rainbow famous and he was right it was Peggy Lee. Stanley then went on to tell me about his favourite musicals ❤️. Music is such an important tool. Songs and smiles truly spreading joy on a rainy Manchester morning. Magical. Booking in now open

Baby Week UK

Calling all older babies from 8 months & toddlers. Looking for a Wednesday morning activity and love a story. Join me at the lovely Great bright venue with easy parking. This is a book weekly session and costs £7 a session. £3 for a sibling but free for under 6 months. Relaxed sessions with a mix of dads, mums, childminders and grandparents. First class only £3.50. Mums Matter is such a rewarding project to be volunteering on. These mums have genuinely become friends and it’s been beautiful watching them share their experiences and support each other over the past 6 weeks. Today we had a gorgeous yoga session with Kieva who has also been giving the mums a much needed break running the crèche with Then I led the craft session. We made mini bobble hats - stuffed with a lindor 😋 . I would highly recommend this course and there will be a new one starting in January. Contact for more information ❤️

a place where the sun is always shining. I’ve been running on a Monday morning at 9.30am for over a year and a half and it’s such a great place to start off my week. Also on a Monday there is a baby swim class. They also run baby swim classes at other times. Ask reception for more details. Tuesdays runs her fabulous high energy class for toddlers. On Wednesday is the popular baby yoga with - a great place to meet other local mums with new babies. The added bonus of being able to grab a coffee from - does she even need an introduction 🤩. All classes are either £6 or free with a gum membership 👏❤️.
