These two special girls well and truly spread the love today Songs & Smiles session. The 60’s theme went down a treat. Especially lovely hearing the residents and visitors recall memories from the 60’s. We had the World Cup 1966, Yuri Gagarin’s visit to Manchester and one of the residents even used to perform as a backing singer🤩.

Which bean bag are you choosing for story time?

I’ve been leading Songs and Smiles at Laurel Court for a year now. Today I found out that one of the regular residents at the session had passed away during the summer holidays. Pat was a very special lady. She lit up the room with her personality. She was always shouting for one more at the end and breaking into song. Take me back to dear old Blighty was a favourite. “Aw that class was the highlight of my mat leave”. Sent from one of the Mums when I told her that Pat had passed away. Pat definitely made it a highlight. Rest in peace Pat. I’ll miss you❤️

New term starts tomorrow. Before & After 🤣. Here I am looking bedraggled after a long hot summer term. My youngest left primary at the end of July ( it was emotional and triggering for many reasons). Just a reminder that Bob Tales is a small independent business - that is just little old me. Now in its 13th year 🥺. I’m not always perfect but I know what it’s like to be a parent of little ones who are now bigger ones and it’s a life long learning curve full of ups and downs. I will always try my best to make you feel welcome and provide a safe place for a chat. Mums, Dads, Grandparents and childminders everyone is welcome 😊

What a gorgeous sunny day spent amongst the fabulous Withington Baths community - celebrating 11 years. Bear Hunt in the newly refurbished garden. Beers from Burton Rd Brewing Co and delicious food from Boz's Pizza and BBQ Coffee from Purpose Coffee Company . Great music through out, bake off and dog fancy dress. Highlight definitely Martha chatting with Len Grant and watching the master at work ❤️. What a day. Thank you to Withington Baths for having me and to Nuela for organising. And Nat for helping set up x
