Let's celebrate National Autism Day by diving into the world of textured play!
Sensory experiences are super important for everyone! Being able to explore lots of different textures...squishing playdough in your hands, running your fingers through sand, or even just exploring with water. These activities aren't just for fun, they help with development, reduce anxiety, and promote relaxation.
Textured play is great as it allows children to explore and learn in a hands-on way. It can be very calming, helping to regulate emotions and reduce sensory overload. Also, it encourages communication and social interaction as children love to share their experiences and discoveries.

⭐️ Healthy Body, Happy me 2025- Friday is Fearless & Flexible. ⭐️
Children using their core muscles while exploring climbing equipment play a vital role in fostering a sense of fearlessness and flexibility. As they engage with various climbing structures, they strengthen their core, which is essential for their balance and stability. This physical activity not only enhances their motor skills but also encourages them to take risks and challenge themselves in a supportive environment. Climbing requires them to adapt their movements, promoting flexibility in both body and mind. By overcoming obstacles and navigating different heights, children build confidence in their abilities, learning that it’s okay to push their limits. This fearless exploration is crucial for their development, helping them to grow physically and emotionally.

Healthy Body, Happy Me- Tuesday was Amazing Appetites🙂
NDNA's amazing appetites initiative is a fantastic way to engage children in healthy eating habits by making nutritious foods fun and interactive. Through activities like creating our own fruit kebabs, children learn to appreciate the variety of fruits available while developing their fine motor skills and creativity. Additionally, making our own orange juice not only teaches them about the process of juicing but also emphasises the importance of fresh, natural ingredients. By participating in these hands-on experiences, children gain a better understanding of healthy eating and it's benefits, fostering lifelong habits that can lead to improved health and well-being. Overall, initiatives like these play a crucial role in encouraging children to make healthier food choices from an early age. 🍎🍊🍓
