Rainbows Day Nursery Burnage

This week our children have been busy exploring and creating! They practised number recognition using recycled materials, painted colourful ties, used natural materials with playdough, and worked together to build train tracks and animal enclosures. They also shared a ball and talked about their feelings, helping to build communication and social skills. A wonderful week of creativity, teamwork and hands on learning! 🎨🔢🌿🚂

♻️✨ Cardboard creations everywhere! The children turned recycled card into buzzing bee hives, cosy houses and sea animal homes, using their imaginations to make something amazing from something old. 🐝🏠🌊💚

🌊 Eco Explorers at Work! ♻️
Today we cleaned up our “sea” by sorting and removing litter, learning how recycling helps protect our oceans and marine life. Every small action makes a big difference for our planet! 💙🐚

Our children explored a recycling-themed sensory and creative activity using a variety of recycled materials, including cardboard tubes, bottle tops, milk containers, breadstick boxes, string, and pipe cleaners. The children enjoyed painting, sorting, and building while developing their fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.We talked about how everyday items can be reused in new ways, helping children begin to understand the importance of recycling and caring for our environment. What wonderful little eco-explorers we have! 💚♻️🌱

🦴 Digging into National Dinosaur Day! 🦕

The toddlers enjoyed a hands-on dinosaur dig, carefully uncovering hidden fossils from the soil and identifying different dinosaurs. This engaging sensory experience encouraged curiosity, concentration, and imaginative play while learning all about prehistoric creatures.

This term, we’re exploring “Eco, Recycling, and Environment.” The little ones in the baby room took part in a sea clean-up activity, learning about the various types of rubbish in our surroundings and why it's essential to keep our environment tidy. 🌈😊
