Preschool graduation & Family fun day event😍

We hosted our annual graduation for our school leavers and charity family fund day event. The weather was beautiful and we had plenty on offer for our families. We had a bouncy castle donated to us by ADS bouncy castles. We had a lovely Henna and face painting stall and some cakes, food and desserts on offer. It was an amazing turn out and we are so grateful for all the support we receive from all our families at nursery. The children enjoyed playing the tombola and winning some lovely prizes. PC Chadwick also joined us and the children enjoyed sitting in the police van and taking pictures. We hosted a ceremony and presented all our leavers with a little gift and certificate from us. We would like to wish all our school leavers the best for their new journey at big school. We hope they all enjoy their last few weeks with us! x

Making Pizza's πŸ•πŸ•

As part of our learning this month we have been reading 'sparks in the sky'. The children have been doing activities linked to the book. In this story the children make pizza’s. We have made pizza with the children this morning. This was a fun activity and allowed the children to take turns whilst waiting for ingredients. We then took the children outside the kitchen to show them how their pizza will be cooked. The children developed a range of self help skills such as rolling, spreading, cutting and many more.they then enjoyed a yummy pizza for snack.

SELF HELP SNACK TABLE πŸπŸπŸžπŸ§€

We have been setting up a self help snack table for the children to build on their self help skills. The children have the opportunity to pick what snacks they would like from the table and use appropriate cuttlery to take what they would like. This is to enable to the children to understand the importance of turn taking and being more independant. They can also make choices to suit their needs.

BONFIRE PLAY AND STAY πŸ€©πŸŽ‰

This Month our book of the month is 'Sparks in the sky' we have been exploring the sounds in the environment and colours we have seen in the sky. We have focused on using language based around sounds and noises we hear during the day and night. We have also been drawing patterns that are made with fireworks to support our pre writing skills. We held a play and stay for our families with bonfire night activities. The children make chocolate breadsticks to resemble sparklers. We also had a sensory activity for the children to create their own patterns and the children made rockets. We had a lovely time and so did our families.

The parents also joined us and we had a lovely walk. The children enjoyed this book and going on hunts for leafes. We focused on using language around the season changes and all the different colours in the enviroment during this season.
