Irlam preschool have been talking about the Coronation and how we are going to make our room look so good with lots of red, white and blue decorations for the celebration! 🎉 We asked the children how they wanted to decorate the room and they said with their pictures 🎨 so we set to work making our own special red, white and blue bunting. 🇬🇧 Our Pre School children are so proud and excited to decorate the room with their homemade decorations!👑🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👑

Introducing Kidzrus Media City’s DEN! Our pre school children have been fantastic assistants this afternoon, helping Helena and Jake create this masterpiece! We cut down the bamboo trees from the garden using big loppers and used this to shape the exterior of our den. The children helped collect items from the garden to help secure the den; bricks from our bug hotel to stick the bamboo in, tyres from the garden to keep the bricks secure, string from pre-school to tie our entrance together so we could hide inside🏕️. Then we got a rug and some cushions from indoors so we could all sit and have story time from Olivia. The joy on everyone’s faces is a true testament to how much fun we all had! Teaching children life skills such as den building positively impacts all areas of their development and allows them to further develop their problem solving skills. What an amazing den! How amazing are our lunchtime helpers setting the table at The Lodge Nursery? Each day different children assist in setting the tables to promote confidence and independence. Self service is always encouraged to promote choice and the children select portion sizes for themselves. Pre school children at The Lodge enjoyed a session with Luke our physical development coordinator. Luke is a fabulous sports coach and encourages all our children to engage in activities using their gross motor skills and learning new activities giving them confidence and teaching them new exercises. We use the fire 🔥 pit regularly, visit dinosaur mountain, care for our 12 chickens 🐓 rabbits 🐇 and tortoise 🐢 collect eggs daily and make our breakfast in the fire pit. Another wonderful session with Ivy at The Lodge, Kidzrus Private Day Nursery Group language coordinator teaching our Pre School children numbers in Cantonese. Ivy also incorporates words which our children are very familiar with, a great opportunity to extend their vocabulary using another language. We are currently practicing numbers 1 -10 and learning words such as, Good Morning, Good Bye, Thank you, and Hello. Ivy practices the language daily and the children are doing extremely well. To ensure all children are involved before the Easter holidays our Pre School children held an Easter bonnet parade. We asked parents to get involved in helping to make a fabulous Easter bonnet and decorate them at home. There were so many wonderful and very colourful creations, the children showed their lovely hats off to their friends. Kidzrus would like to welcome Ramadan 🌙 Ramadan is the 9th holy month in the Islamic Callander. Many Muslims around the year (that’s 1.8 billion) 🧕🏻👳🏻‍♂️ will be fasting for 30 days to show devotion to their religion and follow one of their 5 pillars of Islam ☪️ Fasting is not being able to drink or eat from dusk to dawn however it is also about reflecting on our habits, behaviour, discipline and it’s all about giving charity! It’s all about bringing in the good deeds 🥰✨

In the spirit of Ramadan Kidzrus Media city have set up a display for parents to enjoy some dates! Muslims break their fast with a date at sunset, following the tradition of their prophet🤍

Kidzrus Forest School 🌳🌳🌳Today with Helena our amazing gardening expert the children looked at pictures of fruit and vegetables and tasted peas and radish as they are the first things we are going to grow. We smelt and tasted some herbs. We then built a greenhouse for all our seeds we planted to go in until the weather warms up and then we planted strawberry plants in our vegetable patch . Tomorrow we are planting potatoes and radish seeds.
