We have had the most fun few weeks in EYFS, getting ready for our performance and partying hard today in the hall with our friends. Thank you so much to all of the staff for their hard work getting our performance ready for the (very big!) stage and thank you so much to all of the wonderful parents and carers who came to watch their children sparkling on stage. And the biggest well done to all of our amazing EYFS pupils - you amaze us every day with your creativity and confidence.

Congratulations to Stevie for winning the most improved award at Jeonsa Taekwondo. Jeonsa is a GB Taekwondo Talent Club with incredible athletes training there, so this is an amazing achievement. Stevie stated Taekwondo in the schools program here in Y3 and is hoping to take his black belt next year. Well done!!

Recently we hosted 27 pupils in years 3-6 and 5 staff from a Primary School in Hangzhou, China. The children's behaviour was fantastic and they were a great credit to all our families.
Both staff and students felt warmly welcomed which made the first international exchange we've completed as a Trust a great success.

Dear Mr Caldwell

Hope this email finds you well.

We are pleased to inform you that our teachers and students returned to China safely on 6th October. After a day of rest, everyone has resumed their daily school activities. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to you and the team at Ladybarn Primary School for providing us with such a valuable opportunity for educational exchange.

The children reflected on their experiences during the flight home, and they were filled with joy and new insights. They made friends with their peers in the UK, learned about the British education system, and experienced the warm hospitality of the British people. This exchange has deepened their understanding of British culture and strengthened the bond between the youth of our two nations. They have gained so much, and we are truly grateful for your warm reception and open-hearted sharing.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend a warm invitation for you to visit China again. We would be delighted to welcome you back to see the changes in our country and to visit Wensan Education Group in Hangzhou.

Enclosed are some wonderful memories captured during our visit to Ladybarn Primary School. If possible, we would love for these photos to be shared with the students who were paired with ours, as they serve as beautiful reminders of the meaningful connections formed during the exchange.

Years 3 and 4 held a special Black History Month phase assembly! They shared their work with each other (Tik Tok style videos in the style of MP Zahra Sultana on making a change and their thoughts about the space scientist Dr Maggie Aderin - Pocock) They also celebrated our school diversity. Mrs Gosling's class even have a special Black History Month class badge!
