Our Reception children made their own pizzas this afternoon! They mixed and spread the sauce, sprinkled the cheese and then of course, ate the finished product!

What a super effort today in Year 4, creating hedgehog houses!
As we built them we noticed the feel of the leaves and twigs, and also the smells of the sticks and leaves as they broke. We are going to use this within our writing next week!

We had a lovely Harvest Assembly in school this morning! We were joined by Miss Taziker and Rev. Cath who spoke about lots of interesting things, from where potatoes come from to the journey of the farmer to the food bank.

Thank you to all of our families for their very generous contributions. All donations will be taken to food banks to support those in need of help and support.

Six Year 6 children took part in an exciting 'Flag Football' taster session, where they developed their understanding of the sport and also learned a range of key skills, including passing, catching, movement and teamwork. The children showed great enthusiasm and worked hard to put their new skills into practice during small-sided games. The session provided a fantastic opportunity to build confidence and prepare for the upcoming Flag Football League, which will begin in November!

In Year 5 Computing, children have been developing their digital skills by designing and creating their own interactive quizzes. They have planned questions and answers, explored how to use coding and logical thinking to make their quizzes work, and considered how users would interact with their creations. The children showed creativity and problem-solving skills as they tested, debugged and improved their quizzes, making changes to ensure that their programs were clear, engaging and easy to use. This practical project helped them to apply their computing knowledge whilst developing confidence in designing and creating their own digital content.

Today, Year 5 completed a fantastic gymnastics sequence combining handstands, pikes, forward rolls, dish shapes and straddle positions! They worked hard to perform each movement with control, balance and good body shape, linking the skills together smoothly to create a continuous sequence. It was brilliant to see their confidence grow as they challenged themselves and focused on improving their technique!
