Our newly-appointed Maths Ambassadors had their first meeting today. We spoke all about how much we loved maths, and why maths is so great at St John's!

For our Transition session on Friday, Year 3 listened to Mrs Irwin read 'The Runaway Robot' by Frank Cottrell-Boyce!
On Friday afternoon, all of our children met their new class teacher that they will be having in September. The teachers read a book to the children and spent some time talking to each other and getting to know one another. This session will be one of many, working towards ensuring a smooth transition in September!

We were very lucky at St John's yesterday morning as we had a visit from the Wigan Music Service! They taught us all about the woodwind family of instruments and played some beautiful music for us. We were amazed when they even used a potato, a carrot, a hosepipe and a watering can as instruments! Thank you so much to the Wigan Music Service for a wonderful assembly!
